Critical: Professionalism, QualityThe dye job done on my family member resulted in chemical burns all over her scalp and uneven hair color. Of all things, they placed bleach on her scalp first and left it on before applying to her ends. On top of this, her roots did not even lift as, I am hypothesizing from my family member’s statement, that a low volume developer was used in order to preserve her hair integrity as well as mixing and time.I believe that instead of using a low level on her ends and medium volume on her scalp, the low volume was used across her entire head. I am also inferring that this is where the idea to apply to her scalp first came from as it will take longer with more heat to lift virgin color from hair with a low volume developer than medium. However, this left my family member with sore chemical burns across her scalp.On top of the faulty bleaching process, the colorist applied more dye to my family member’s hair because the roots did not lift correctly. Of all things, they placed bleach on her scalp first and left it on before applying to her ends.
