Got my braids washed by a very talented young lady. I went back a few weeks later for a color and some twists. Marsha was awesome and JCPenney Salon is my go to no matter what state I’m in.

So this was a doozy. I was recently in the salon on Friday, May 6, 2022 for just a shampoo and style. First I came in for my appointment at 4 and when I got there I was informed my stylist I originally booked with was not in that day but they could get me in with someone else, which I didn’t mind since I have never been there before. So after I was already in the chair and getting ready for the stylist to shampoo me she informed me that there’s a price increase and that I would have to pay it. I said okay because I didn’t want to be rude and walk away when she had fit me into her schedule. After that she took my hair down from its ponytail. She asked me who cut my hair and I said I don’t remember, but then she proceeded to make fun of my haircut because it was “just a complete mess and uneven” (the way it was cut was to match the way I part my hair to the side and she parted it down the middle) then was telling another stylist how bad it looked in front of me. And they both were making fun of it. Which made me feel embarrassed. She offered to trim it for an additional price, but I didn’t want to pay more than I already was since the price had ALREADY increased. At that point I’m super embarrassed and wanted to walk away but again I didn’t want to be rude. She proceeded to tell me how bad my hair looked and that I needed to fix it. She finished up my style after over an hour and a half (all I wanted was for her to curl my hair in beach waves). I was very uncomfortable and unhappy with the services I was provided and I definitely do not feel like it was worth the $70 (it was originally $30) I had to spend for a “shampoo and style”. Definitely won’t be returning and unhappy with how it turned out. Would not recommend.

Critical: QualityI went in for a simple wash and style. I never go here. I never get my hair done here. I just wanted somewhere I could do a quick walkin. Obviously they gave me someone who wasn’t really experienced with doing hair or my kind of hair because for one my hair wasn’t shampooed good because after the shampoo my scalp felt itchy and still had build up on it when I scratched my head. I wanted my hair blow dried and curled with the flat iron. The stylist didn’t know how to do that so I just left with my hair not styled and Jcpenney had the nerve to still charge me. I left with dirty and unstyled hair and was still charged 32 dollars. For what? Never again will I ever go to a Jcpenney salon again to get my hair done. Save yourself the time and money and find somewhere else to get your hair done. A complete rip off. I got nothing I came for.Service: HairstylingI went in for a simple wash and style. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI was trying out a new and, for me, a more extreme hair style. Because I was nervous, the hair stylist took it slow and made sure I liked it every step of the way and handled my indecision/last second changes very well while maintaining a kind and professional atmosphere. By the end, I was in love with my hair style and I got it for very cheap. Worth every penny!I was trying out a new and, for me, a more extreme hair style. This salon is horrible. I had an appt for my daughter at 4pm and the stylist already had 4 people waiting. 2 hours later my daughter still wasn’t called back to even get her hair washed yet. While washing her hair the stylist had yet another customer show up for her. I told the receptionist this was so unprofessional to book so many people at the same time and my little girl is only 6, we can’t wait all night. I requested for another stylist to finish doing my child’s hair. The manager was aware how late and how long the stylist kept us waiting and did not care at all. Plus they are way overpriced for just mediocre hair styles. We won’t be back.

I popped in for a quick cut (though a significant 8+ inches cut) after lunch with my husband on a Friday. Chloe took me right back and did exactly as I asked her to do regarding my hair. She was friendly, professional, and I actually enjoyed my time in the salon (normally I dread it, it feels like a waste of time). Chloe was very efficient and respectful of my time. Thanks, Chloe! Keep up the good work!

I had a 10a appt. I got there at 10:01a (because the doors were locked) and no one was in the salon. The computers weren’t even turned on. Someone had to go find the receptionist, the person cutting my hair wasn’t at work yet. I was told to go look around the store while I wait. It’s 10:10 and I’m still waiting for the person cutting my hair to get ready. This is so unprofessional.

Just be honest if you don’t know how to give a specific hairstyle. It’s just simple. Don’t bluff and mess your business. It would save you from bad reviews. Hairstyling

I showed her a picture of my hair and she still didn’t do it the way she was supposed to. My parts weren’t straight and my braids were too little.
