This was the 1st time I used a JC Penney’s salon. I took my daughter to see Ms. Nadine. She did an excellent job on my daughter’s hair. I highly recommend her for natural thick long hair!

Too expensive for the service, you pay more regarding the stylist certification, yet you get the same service, make sure you know the stylist credentials, so to speak, because the price can vary $15 To $20. Again, the style may be the same or worse. Over a $100 for pretty much a blow out and a condition is a bit too much! It was last minute, so I had no choice, but beware, ask for the cost. It’s not the same.

After reading the reviews I was really skeptical about getting my hair highlighted here but I am SOOOOOOO glad I did. Phoebe was my hair stylist and she did a phenomenal job. She took her time to ensure it was perfect. We talked and laughed. I felt like I known her forever. lol. I was very impressed with the final results. The manager (I wish I remembered her name…I think it was Tameka…I apologize if I got it wrong) she walked over and introduced herself to me. The atmosphere was positive and the salon was very clean. In a nutshell I left very happy and will definitely be returning :-)I’m a VERY picky person when it comes to my hair. Phoebe was my hair stylist and she did a phenomenal job. She took her time to ensure it was perfect. We talked and laughed. I felt like I known her forever. lol. I wouldn’t give any star if I could. Last weekend I took my wife to get her hair cut at JC Penney salon. We called to make an appointment and once we got there. The salon lady Debra V. made such a big deal about the price and changed it from the original price twice. After I was still going to pay Debra finally told my wife I dontd have time to do your hair. It was so bad of an experience my wife was in tears and I approached the situation and asked the assistant manager what could she do to confisate us for such a horrible experience and all she wanted to do was reschedule the appointment. I would like for upper management to contact me. I would not recommend this salon.

Walked into this salon at 1:30 on Saturday 1/14/17 for a trim. I was very rudely told no one could cut my hair. There were two hairdressers and no customers waiting. Both women were rude and didn’t offer another time that I could receive a hair cut. I walked out to find my wife, in the mean time, she walked in looking for me and the Hispanic hair dresser was extremity rude to her saying that there are no customers in the salon. The African-American hair dresser was sitting down and told my wife that I left because no one could cut my hair. Worst customer service either of us believe we have ever experienced which is saying a lot since we were at the mall with mostly teenage sales people. These women were not teenagers and I can’ t understand why you would choose to work with the public if you can’t treat them with common respect. We will never be back and we will tell everyone we know and work with.
