Critical: ProfessionalismI had an appointment today at 1pm with Elizabeth. She’s cut my hair before and done a great job. I called ahead to see if they could take me early – they couldn’t – no problem. I show up early, prepared to wait till my appointment. I can hear them laughing and talking in the back, and a little after one I let the girl in the front know I don’t really have time to wait, I have to be somewhere at 5pm and need to get home to change beforehand. I overheard Elizabeth telling the front desk girl that my appointment was at 12:30 and I was late. What? Not accurate, I booked it online and can show her the appointment. Anyway, I asked her if she would be able to take me soon, and she said yes, but she had a really nasty attitude. She also was really nasty with the front desk girl as well.I left. Nobody who is nasty to customers deserves to get my business. I had an appointment today at 1pm with Elizabeth. She’s cut my hair before and done a great job. I called ahead to see if they could take me early – they couldn’t – no problem. I show up early, prepared to wait till my appointment. The last time I went there, Donna put my color on, AND LEFT THE MALL PREMISES! She had me sit under the dryer and a while after it shut off I got up. Other staff were even looking for her. I went outside to smoke and there she is getting out of a vehicle with several other ppl. My hair was screwed up and I will never go back!!!!!

Took my 12 year old for a pixie cut. Came out with a bob because apparently (she didn’t say this) but she seemed intimidated to cut off so much hair at once. Hair was high mid back. THEN- she rushes because her next appointment showed up. Didn’t even blow dry her hair since is super straight when it’s air dried. Come to find out she charged me $47 for a kids haircut and a blowout that NEVER occurred. Called the manager, left a message. Two days of calling and no response- finally she tell me to come. Luckily I had my receipt and pictures of when we left. Got my refund but it totally gave me a horrible taste in my mouth. Sketchy AF! How does #jcpenny not do anything about this? All these horrible reviews… smh.. they all can’t be wrong…

Good luck getting someone to actually cut your hair if you show up after 7PM> They have to see you and then judge whether they are “booked” or not. I have tried 5 times to do a walk-in and every time the young lady at the desk has to go back and ask if they are booked even though we know good and well that the computer shows the appointments.

Took my 9 year old and 12 year old to get a trim. She washed their hair and “trimmed” it, 1″ of a cut later, $71 for that. What ???? No style or nothing. For two kids and a SIMPLE cut one inch of hair. NEVER again !!! They are RUDE and unprofessional and tru to RIP you off. I even eats a lady tell another how they she/he should charge more and how to.

Made a same-day appt, via the online service. Was told who would work with me and (approximately) how much it would be. Walked in, told them I had an appt and who with and in less than 5 minutes Elizabeth appeared. Very very nice person to chat with. She understood what I wanted and went to town! I am very pleased with the results. Highly recommend Elizabeth at JCPENNEY salon at South Park Mall.

The stylist did a great cut…went to pay for a child’s cut, was charged 14.00 then 22 for what she called a blow out…the child’s hair is straight…so I was charged 22 for her to dry her hair? Not worth it.
