If I could give a -20 rating, I would. I have had nothing but horrible experiences with this salon. In February 2021, I had a stylist mess my hair up so badly when she colored it, that it cost me $450, 2 trips, to another salon to correct it. Then I went back last week, purchased an item, and had a stylist beg me to cut my hair, and try to show me the salon had changed. Against my better judgment I allowed her. She chopped all my hair off and butchered it. When I went back to have it fixed, another stylist informed me that the same lady, cut her hair and did the same thing. She said the lady has many complaints and does the same thing to other customers. Wow! So, let’s keep her employed? JcPenney salon is for the misfit stylists, in their last leg, from other salons, and hires anyone. A toddler could do hair better. Do not subject yourself to a horrible experience. Avoid the Dover Mall location. I warned you!!!!!!

She wanted a very technical and vivid ombre. Something I was afraid most salons might mess up. Found out that this location was under new management and gave it a shot. We could not have been more pleased with the results of her ombre. The initial bleaching looked so good that it made me want to have mine done as well. I’ve avoided salons like the plague for years due to bad experiences but recently my daughter wanted her hair done for the first time ever. She wanted a very technical and vivid ombre. Something I was afraid most salons might mess up. Found out that this location was under new management and gave it a shot. We could not have been more pleased with the results of her ombre. Had the worst experience at this salon. I made an appointment for 1, I was a few minutes early and had to stand in line becuase there was not an employee in sight, finally the lady in front of me found someone to help the line. I got checked in and sat there for 35 minutes before my stylist Brandy came out and said she would be right with me. Another 10 minutes go by and I look back and she is not even close to done with the person she is working with, this place is a joke why have an option of making an appointment when it clearly does not matter to them anyway, at least be considerate and let me know you are running behind.
