My friend and I both had hair appointments for 2:00 PM, we had waited almost 2 HOURS before we were seated in a chair for our cuts. My friend went first; during his haircut, the barber by the name of Kim was actively training another barber with my friend’s hair. Blatantly unprofessional. Next was my turn, I also had the same barber as my friend (Kim), when I was seated, I showed a photo of how I wanted my hair to look. I also told Kim that my hair was tangled and should be brushed before the cut (if that was possible). Kim told me that it would be fine. I also told Kim that my hair needed to be wet before being cut (my hair type is curly coils and at the time it was frizzy). She completely disregarded this statement and began cutting my hair WHILE IT WAS DRY AND TANGLED. While she was cutting my hair, she managed to snip part of my ear causing it to bleed. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WAS DONE. She completely ignored the fact she cut my ear and continued with the haircut as usual. The photo I showed Kim, and my hair after looked NOTHING alike and she made no effort or attempt to detangle my hair, wet my hair, style my hair, or APOLOGIZE after she cut my ear. The haircut cost me and my friend $35 EACH. I waited over 2 hours to get into a chair (WITH AN APPOINTMENT), and I was in the chair with Kim for less than 10 minutes. ABSOLUTE RIP-OFF. I spent 2 years growing my hair out to have it cut, and styled perfectly, just to have it completely ruined and have it cut 4 inches shorter than it should’ve been. I highly suggest you either A. Don’t go to JazCutz as it seems clear they can’t higher competent people or B. Don’t use Kim as your barber. By the way, because she (Kim) decided to cut my hair while it was dry, tangled, and frizzy, I now have uneven strands of hair coming down from my head. There are stands of hair that are full-length stands from before the cut, while the rest of my hair is 5 inches shorter. Completely unbelievable. Do not go here.

Let me start by saying I very rarely leave reviews, but this just has to be said. I made an appointment with Oldrich a week in advance which he confirmed. I showed up on time and he wasn’t even there, figured he’s running late, no problem. Waited around for a while, tried messaging him on the app and texted him and not even a response. And let me add that this wasn’t the first time I’ve had issues at this barber. I’ve been there 3 times previously (different barbers) and have had to wait over an hour to be seated even though I had an appointment which they encourage you to make. But they did a decent job so I kept going back. Today was a different story, the fact that he can’t even message me back and say I can’t make it was enough for me to go somewhere else. Don’t waste your time here, I went across the street to Jen’s barbershop, was seated as soon as I walked in even though I didn’t have an appointment. Got a better hair cut in my opinion and it was cheaper than Jazcutz. Absolutely will never return to this place.

So David has cut my hair a bunch of times now. He is a nice kid but he has left me in the chair for 20+ mins on two separate occasions now. Didn’t tell me why just walks away and comes back. This time it was more like 30 mins. I’m fine with a few mins but this is excessive and unprofessional. Won’t be going back here.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Valuei told the barber, i think his name was tommy, i wanted just a very small amount of the sides. will put before photo to compare with what i got. took over an hour and was faced away from the mirror the whole time so i couldn’t see what was being done. he buzzed around my entire head and went up very high. very unprofessional place and ruined my hair by doing the opposite of what i asked for. Kim and Cozy are arguably tied as the best barbers in the shop. Only “eh” factor is David; definitely a kid who doesn’t care much about anything. Seen multiple people who didn’t get their cut until at least an hour after their appointment. Saw a young dude who had an appointment booked at 9:30, and by 10:30 he still hadn’t been taken in. Came in for a walk in after being recommended by a friend who had been to the Manassas location. Boy was I disappointed. First off, I didn’t not receive any pre nor post treatment for the straight razor shave, so no hot towel, no aftershave, nothing. Needless to say, my skin and face were irritated. Second, I had to instruct them to touch up my beard 3 times. Third, they did not fade my beard properly at all, and now the chin is shorter than the cheeks. Finally, the haircut itself was good, until I went home and realized that they had missed about a 2 inch diameter on the top of my head, which is now double the length of the rest of my hair. I’ll be sticking to my main barber in Falls Church from now on. It’s a shame because I live in Chantilly .

I’ve been coming to this place long enough to watch it switch owners. Both owners were good and the barbers are skilled. Walk-ins are possible, but highly suggest you use the reservation app they recommend to book appointments.

I went there last week as a walk-in customer. After getting done with the other customer the guy (barber) told me that he will be back in a minute, but instead it took him 25 minutes to get back. And, also the haircut I got was one of the worst haircut in my entire life. He seemed like a good barber but he wasn’t for me as he messed up my whole hairstyle.
