Positive: ProfessionalismI just moved to the neighborhood and I was just looking for an inexpensive, post-Covid trim. I always drove past this unassuming location. From the outside, it seems like a normal, in-and-out barbershop.When I arrived, it was nicely furnished and clean. However, THEY ARE APPOINTMENT ONLY, which was disappointing. I heard good things about Jay, and was willing to wait if needed, but alas…darn appointment policy. I would also deem them more of a salon-stylist establishment, not a throwback barbershop which let’s you pop in and out and is a bit cheaper (you have to send a request thru their website to get a quote).Jay himself seemed pleasant, down-to-earth, and respectful. I would just ask that they made their appointment-only policy more explicit, either on their personal website, 3rd-party websites, or on a sign near their shop (a simple phrase would do).I wouldn’t say it’s a hassle calling or setting up an Instagram account to schedule a haircut, but I can go to cheaper, more accessible locations on a moment’s notice, which better fits my hectic, sporadic schedule. I used to go to Fadekings and the quality was not as good as jays. He communicates effectively and didn’t mind answering my questions I had. He did a phenomenal job and I’ll be giving him my business from now on.
