Jax Salon and Spa is an Aveda Concept salon located in Gig Harbor. We offer the latest in haircut, color, massage, facials, hair removal, microblading, lash extensions and nail services. Following in his mother’s footsteps, in 1982 Jack Call opened the doors to JAX, the first AVEDA Concept Salon on the West Coast, with the dream of developing a creative team of well-educated and highly trained individuals who shared his passion of spreading love and beauty. Jack humbly dedicates the last 40 years of success to his mother, along with our amazingly loyal guests. JAX is a training facility for cosmetology graduates, and a community where service providers are highly encouraged and supported to enrich their careers with education.

The most expensive stylist here cut my hair then even though I told him I hated the hot iron, he proceeded to use one on my hair. The style looked okay until I washed my hair. Drying it, I discovered that the cut butchered my hair. There was absolutely no style at all. What a con job. He probably works on women who get their hair done every week or two and have no idea what problems his hot iron methodology hides. I’ve gone to the best. He’s definitely not one of them. I suggest he gets some training.

i don’t know how long Amanda has worked here, or if she’s ever worked with clients that have curly hair before, but she gave my partner the worst and most uneven haircut that they’ve ever gotten in their entire life. they showed her a picture of the haircut that Austin here has done before and it looked NOTHING like the picture. the fact that they were kept facing away from the mirror the whole time, and that everyone else was staring at them during the haircut was a big red flag. it was so upsetting and distressing that they came home and shaved their entire head. it was. SO. BADLY. DONE. big mistake to have her do the haircut. lesson learned; we’re asking Austin to do it next time.

I’m a salon hopper and I finally found a place I will stick with. I loved Hannah, she listened to what I wanted and spent her time making it perfect for me. They have Aveda products which is why initially got me to make an appointment. Definitely going back 🙂

I never got to have an experience. I had a feeling my appointment would be canceled as it was scheduled for 3 pm on Saturday of memorial day. I just got the text my appointment was indeed canceled due to stylist being sick. Next available appointment is in two weeks. No thanks.

McKenna is a mature professional young stylist. She does a great job. I am always happy with the care she has given my scalp and hair. I don’t want to say too much good. Otherwise she will be more in demand and less availability for an appointment. It’s already becoming more challenging to schedule.

Not kid friendly. My daughter was being loud, so I was sent outside while they cut my son’s hair. That was understandable, except as soon as I left she butchered the haircut pretty badly and made it shorter and shorter to try to fix it. They wanted to charge me full price for the experience. I’d advise taking younger children elsewhere for haircuts. The other customers seemed satisfied with their cuts, etc.
