Critical: QualityI went in and asked for a haircut. He’s a very nice man but just not a great barber. I’ve gone here in the past and only got what I asked for once. When it wasn’t even him cutting hair. I asked for him to fade my sides but he cut them all the same length. Then I thought oh it will be fine and just asked for an inch to an inch and a half off the top. He cut my hair and kept cutting it shorter and shorter. Instead of an inch off the top he took off nearly all and left me with what looks like a bad buzz cut. I could have cut my hair better looking in a mirror. Had to go to a different barber immediately when I left to have my beard fixed… half was cut and half wasn’t. Also my lips looked like someone put a rectangle over them and cut a outline of it.. bad experience

Classic barber shop, complete with comfortable old style chair, jazz music, a selection of well tended house plants, and a bit of eclectic spice added to the shop vibe. Jaimie (owner and licensed barber) is friendly and skilled. I wander in for his outstanding haircut and hot-shave. A quintessential man-spa treatment that takes me back in time, and always puts a smile on my fresh shaved face. 35 bucks…are you kidding me?!?

When I was 8 I used to ride my bike to the local barber on Long Island, NY. I remember once, when I returned home, I was put in the car and immediately driven back to the barber where my mom told him to “fix it”. I was oblivious to good or bad haircuts at that age but I suspect my recent haircut at Jamie’s was worse.

I called ahead and asked how busy he was…… said he wasn’t busy at all. Told him I’d be there in 15-20. When i walked in he had a customer in the chair and another waiting. Told me he’d “hold”my spot approximately an hour later if i wanted to come back. Apparently calling ahead doesn’t secure a spot either. Guess he didn’t need my 18dollars today or ever in the future.

Good haircut, but I was really disappointed at the lack of mask discipline. Visitors and staff alike were going nose free and maskless in a tiny shop. I will go somewhere that is taking the pandemic a little more seriously next time.
