Hair is sculpted and color is placed to enhance bone structure, skin tone, and facial features while complimenting the client’s personal style and lifestyle. The clinical esthetic treatments are designed to to be walk-out beautiful. Our philosophy is that proper skin care will lessen the need for future skin repair. The day I walked into James Joseph Salon I knew “the many issues with my hair were about to change!” My hair was thinning, the color was too dark and I wasn’t thrilled with the cut. To James credit, he evaluated my hair, agreed my hair was too dark, however, he told me that I had received a “good cut!” I found that statement to be incredible, he is authentic and honest!

James has been cutting my hair for more years than I want to think about. I go to him because he really LOOKS at my hair He gives me a cut that suits MY hair, not the cut that is “in”. Like the other customer said, I can’t even tell that my hair is growing in. It always looks good. Absolutely, positively, hands-down, without a doubt, James is the most talented hair stylist in Chicagoland – and probably the entire Midwest – period. If, God-forbid, he ever retires, I will have to let my hair grow long and tie it back in a ponytail because no one will be able to reproduce his work.
