When asked, “how do you want your hair cut?”, no barber wants to hear the response “uh, I don’t know, can you just make it look better?”. Lucky for me, I was in the hands of Casey. Instead of getting disgruntled, he laughed it off and proceeded to give me one of the best cuts of my life. He’s a talented guy and a good conversation. I recommend this place to everyone.

I recently visited Jake’s Barbershop. I have lived in the area for about 3 years and usually go to the chain shops. I decided after reading some reviews to give the local guy a shot. First of all, it is a small, quaint little place on the main drive in Chinchilla. I walked in and was greeted immediately and had a seat to wait for my turn. The guy getting his hair cut before me seemed to have a good rapport with the barber and seemed to be a long time client. The barber was very nice when I was getting my hair cut. Another gentleman came in just before I was done and the barber called him by name and greeted him. I would recommend Jake’s to anyone, male of course, because he is a Barber and not a cosmetologist/hair stylist. Know the difference before going to the wrong shop. Thanks for the great cut. I will be back

Got two excellent haircuts so far from Casey who is both meticulous and caring. After having another barber for 27 years, I wasn’t sure what to expect from someone new but he’s made the process much easier than I thought. Highly recommend!

Great experience. Excellent service. I didn’t have transportation, so the owner, Casey Carrick, came to my house and picked me up, give me a great cut and then drove me home. No other barbershop would even consider that. The techniques he uses are a mix of “cutting edge” and “old school.” I highly recommend Jake’s Barber Shop in Chinchilla to anyone looking for a great barber.

I followed Casey from downtown Scranton because he gives a reliably fantastic cut for a remarkably reasonable price. He also has extraordinary barbering skill so I recommend either a beard trim OR an old fashioned shave along with your cut. It’s first come, first served and late morning or early afternoons may be your best bet.

A little over an hour or so ago, I walked into this place in Chinchilla with my husband to get a haircut. The atmosphere got a little icy immediately. The man cutting hair, who had recently bought the shop from Jake, didn’t acknowledge our presence. He was chatting with the man in the chair who looked to be almost done. He wasn’t. The man proceeded to spend another 20 minutes on the guy. Then the next man sat down, got a fairly quick haircut during which they discussed their guns. When I got up next, he looked me in the eye and said, “Sorry, I don’t do women.” Good luck, buddy.

Frusturated with wasting money at Holiday Hair, Walmart, another hair cutters. I found Jake’s on google. Was not dissapointed. Great service. Great price. Cuts a man’s hair right. My only regret was after I left; I figured that I should have tipped more. Chain hair stylist/cutters charge premium for poor work. This man deserves it
