On Monday Sept. 19, I happened upon Jacky nail spa as I was having my windshield replace at Safelite just across the street and was in need of getting my nails done. The owner was pleasant and my nail technician Evelyn who is meticulously skilled gave me one of the best powder dip manicures I’ve experienced thus far.

I’m a local and I’ve given this salon numerous chances to redeem themselves but I have always left disappointed. This was the worst one yet. I only got my nails done a WEEK AGO (as you can see there isn’t too much of a gap between the nails and the cuticle). My nails have already fallen off. Mind you, I asked for coffin nails – these look regular. And then… the lady charged me $50 for the whole service which is fine. I wanted to add a small tip because I wasn’t happy with what she did to my nails. Though I left the salon and checked my bank account to see she charged me $62. I would be fine with $62 if she did a good job but this was so bad. The nail prep was obviously not good, the shape is clearly very bad and the nail job is lumpy. Wtf is this

If I could, I would give zero stars! I only went based off the recommendation from my mother. Lucy who did my pedicure was great!!!! The owner (I’m assuming who works at the first chair) has no hospitality at all! She was extremely rough and mean and shows she doesn’t care. I went to get a gel fill-in. One of the acrylic was lifting on my index finger, so I alerted her of the lifting. She sighed and got the nail clipper and roughly cut the acrylic down. I thought she was trying to rip my nail off. I pulled my hand back and told her too rough. I have air bubbles in my polish and lint throughout my nails. I didn’t notice until I looked at them in the sunlight. She rushed through the entire process. The way she applied the polish was horrible. She doesn’t care at all. I’m never returning. I’ll pay the extra money to go to Springfield Nail Spa in Bayside to get quality work with better service. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! Save your money.

Not very good. The owner is rude and just throws the nail polish on your nails. I always get bubbles in my gel manicure. She doesn’t do a proper manicure. It’s always a rush job. Even witnessed a full blown argument in the middle of the shop. It’s right up the block from my house so I go when I do my laundry across the street. The pedicure chairs could use an upgrade.

Paid $18 for mani and pedi…what a joke. All she had to do was paint my nails and she couldnt even do that. Its so uneven.

I’ve been here a few times before and the service was ok. On this visit though the lady started removing my nails and told me afterwards that her credit card machine was down. Well I just so happened to be paying with my cc when then lady tries to tell me to go to the atm to withdraw money to pay. Again I explain that i was paying with a cc and she just stopped doing my nails right then. I had to ask her to coat the nail that she had removed the acrylic from and to file the other nails that she had cut down cuz they were jagged and I have a small baby. I gave them only two for their lack of concern for the customer when it was their own fault that they didn’t tell me that the cc machine was not working.

I like the young girl Ezmay…I am certain I misspelled her name! I find her to be very professional and a hard worker…she does a great job my feet thanks me after our visit I visit here just for pedicures!
