I’m posting this review prior to my appointment for one reason. They are the ONLY salon in atlanta that could accommodate me on short notice because apparently NO other salons in Atlanta are open on the weekends. I don’t know who has the time to get off work at 2 on a Tuesday so they can get their haircut but it would appear to me that if every single salon in atlanta is SO busy you have to book a month in advance then maybe you should stay open later or open on Sunday. Anyway, I’m pleased that they were willing to work with me.

My almost 2 year old son had his first haircut today with Kim and we had the best experience! With an appointment, there was no wait at all. We walked in and my son was seated right away. Kim made it super fun and quick. Her co-workers were also able to entertain and distract him with lots of toys and lollipops. Definitely recommend to anyone with small kids!

Critical: Professionalism, ValueIf I could give this review zero stars I would. My girlfriend and her mom came in to get haircuts . They were told before they came in that they could give both of them haircuts, but that’s not what happened today . Only one of themWas given a hair cut and my girlfriend was told that they couldn’t cut her hair because they needed to cut others customers hair that came in after we were already waiting . She told my girlfriend to come back tomorrow and they could do her haircut . They had been waiting for almost 30-40 min . I later called to try to resolve this issue and she was very rude to me and hung up on me . This place is great! My stylist Summer was very thorough with my color and cut. She spent 3 1/2 hours on my hair, and it turned out beautifully! I game been here several times and seen multiple stylists. I have never been disappointed. I appreciate that I pay way less here than at a trendy salon.

The stylist make a pleasant experience because they really try to please the customer. They don’t assume they know your style preference. If you are new to the salon, they ask questions. There are no long wait times. JACs is a great local salon and barber shop!

I requested a balayage with ombré coloring. I gave specific details that I did not want a yellow nasty tint to my hair and would like it as close to platinum as possible. I walked out with my whole head colored dirty blonde with highlights. They said they couldn’t do a balayage because it wouldn’t last as long??? (They should have told me if they couldn’t do it). That makes no sense… so I paid $120 for shoulder length dye that I didn’t ask for. As much as appreciated the highlight and whole head coloring, this is not what I asked for. I am taking my grad school photos this week, and I am terrified. The owner said “oh I thought you were just dying your hair for fun, I didn’t know it was for a grad photo.” So it’s not important if I want beautiful hair that is not for grad school photos? I wish I could post the photo I requested, versus what they gave me. You can go here for a hair cut, but if you want a balayage or ombré, I do not recommend coming here.

Great service, low cost. I’ve had Kim & several of the other ladies cut my hair. Just be very clear about what you want, including specific levels you want your hair cut, and let them know if you want something cut further than what they have done so far.

Great place, very convenient and the staff is polite and thorough, they want to make sure you are happy and want to come back to see them. I had gone to Supercuts in Duluth for a few years and I could not get a consistently good cut or color. Once in a while they did a great job, but not regularly. Last Night V. did my hair at JAC Salon (color and cut) and I have gotten a LOT of compliments and it is only lunch time! V. works Sun., Mon., and Tues. if you want to get her to do your hair. I will certainly be back!

While I had an okay experience, I was charged extra for a surgical line. That has never happened before. I have a neutral stand when it comes to recommending this place. Would think hard before going here again.
