Been doing my hair for years. Now that I don’t use heat often, it was quite difficult finding someone who does my hair like I do and the way that I like, that last at least a 3 weeks! Gave this place a try, and results were beyond my expectations. Did my hair on March 16 and today is April 9; I am still getting compliments!

/I was referred to Jahonnah by the woman who braids my hair. I had been looking for a natural salon to call home for almost a year and just had no luck trusting the right person. So I was really excited to have found someone who wasn’t too far and came recommended highly. I scheduled a consultation which is $10. not what i’m used to but I figured it was to ensure clients will show up and she could manage her time. I was a little late to the consult due to rush hour traffic and trouble finding parking, I called to let her know that and she said she could still fit me in. Great! consult when well and I was at ease and trusted she could do exactly what I needed. right after the consult I tried to make an appointment via her Style Seat and it was completely booked for many months. I reached out via IG to see if there was any way she could fit me in. I waited 3 days for a reply. her only time slots available were times I was at work, 12 noon, 1pm, 11:30, not really doable for a full time employee. after some back and forth we we were finally able to to schedule a Saturday am, almost a month after my consult. I was disappointed at the wait but i was really hoping it be worth it. a few days before my appt i followed up to confirm a time and she told me she had to cancel my appointment due to having to attend a funeral. Completely understandable, but of course I was disappointed again as I had been waiting for this slot for a MONTH. So back to square one trying to reschedule. I reached out and waited days for replies in between, all the while she updating her IG page with pics and stories. I started to feel like the girl that was getting blown off after a date. I tried to remain positive and persist but she wasn’t very concerned with rescheduling me. I felt that it was becoming to much work just to get a wash and cut so I accepted the defeat. A few minutes after our last convo (which she hadn’t replied back to) she posted about rejecting clients and that it’s ok to do so. Maybe a coincidence but it just spoke very loudly to me. She has every right to chose not to work with someone but I would of appreciated the communication of that reason IF that was the case in my situation or refer to another stylist in the shop. I feel Like i wasted my time and money on a consult just to be blown off. I understand she has a large clientele but the management of appointments seems faulty to me.

Went for a hair consultation with Jahonnah. She is absolutely delightful & takes all things into consideration when dealing with your hair. I am looking forward to having her as my hair stylist.

My first visit. I found them on YouTube. Joy was my stylist. She’s cool. She trusted me to run to the bank to pay her in cash. Parking is a hit or miss. There’s a lot around the back. It’s shard among a couple of businesses, including the library.
