I have never once made a negative post in my life but wanted to make the community aware of my experience today in case anyone else would be effected. My treatment by the staff of JK supernail (corner of 63rd and main by the DQ) was deplorable (and in front of my young child). Myself and 5 of my family members had mani pedis yesterday. The pedicure they did on my 8year old daughter was very thin at the edges (almost like they only did one coat or like they didn’t do the edges at all). Because of this the big toes had started to come off less than 24 hours later. I took my daughter back in to have them repaired as we have a big event to attend tomorrow and I was told “there was no guarantee “. I acknowledged that I was aware there was no guarantee but that I still wanted them fixed even if I had to pay. They woman was so rude to me even passing us up by several customers before I asked how long it was going to be before they could help us (felt like we were angrily being ignored). When I did speak up she repeated that there was no guarantee and that they would do it for a cost which I said was fine. When they finally took my daughter to fix what was obviously not done well in the first place another sweet customer who we didn’t even know spoke up and said “if they are charging you for a full nail polish change for her you should have them do all the nails again”. The staff member then Started arguing with this customer and asked her “if she wanted to fight her”. They is absolutely ludicrous behavior and in front of a young child who HAD been excited to get her nails done. PLUS all 6 of us noticed that not all supplies were sterile or clean when they were doing our nails. The files had almost all the white scratched off of them (obviously very used) and the skin “graters” looked like they we old as well. I WILL MOST DEFINITELY NOT BE GOING BACK HERE AGAIN. TERRIBLE SERVICE, GROSS USED FILES !!!! If you are looking to have your nails done, I am sure there are MANY better and more sanitary places in the area that will treat you and tour family better!!!!!

This may not be a cushy salon with cucumber infused chilled water, and wwo-woo music, but I have ALWAYS had a great experience here. The personnel all speak English very well, and do what I ask. I do bring my own polish, but that’s just my own personal preference anyway. I take my 93 y/o mother-in-law there…she loves the place. I also had my daughter’s pre-wedding mani pedi bridesmaids outing there…they opened the shop an hour early for me. I’m having my other daughter’s wedding outing there too. I would recommend it.

Went in today for a pedi & fill. I picked the place randomly but should have realized why they weren’t busy on a Friday. The staff was rude, the place dirty – they wanted me to walk across a dirty mat to get to the pedi chair. The pedi was poor at best & I have 2 nails that are red & swollen already because the nails were cut wrong. I had to provide my own polish becaise the woman refused to use any of their polish colors I chose. ( I had just been shopping so I had a new bottle with me.). I watched them use a buffer on a woman who had complained about having fungus on her nails and then use it on another customer. It may be cheap Mani & pedis but my healthier not worth a few bucks. I’m calling the health dept Tuesday. YUCK!
