I made an appointment with J F based on the reviews here and I am SO happy that I did!!! My stylist was Cindy, and she listened carefully to everything I wanted and everything I did Not want, then discussed options with me. She is friendly, fun, and crazy good at what she does! Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityMy daughter was charged $100 for a terrible haircut and color. The stylist seen what my daughter’s hair looked like, what she wanted it to look like, and was assured that she would get what she asked for. After waiting more than 20mins past her appointment she was then treated extremely rudely. The stylist was huffing and puffing about the thickness of her hair and making side comments to other stylists because my daughter did not want layers in her hair. When the stylist was done she asked my daughter if she liked the color to which my daughter replied that it was not what she asked for. The stylist took my daughters debit card, never telling her the price, and charged her $100. She left in tears. After a couple of phone calls trying to come to a resolution with the stylist my daughter decided to go back up there to try to talk to another stylist about fixing her hair. While on the phone w the stylist my daughter was screamed at and blamed for the stylist’s mess up. The stylist blamed my daughter for the uneven haircut and told my daughter that she “isn’t a magician” and can’t fix my daughter’s hair the way she asked for it to be in the beginning. My daughter asked for at least a portion of her money back so she could find someone to fix her hair to which the stylist told my daughter she would not give any money back because my daughter cost her time and money. Upon arriving back at the shop my daughter was disrespected even more. She was told her haircut was even and that her hair looked good. All of the stylists are excellent. I use Amanda H because she educates me on my cut and hair care. They’re always improving their image in the shop. It doesn’t take 3 months to get an appointment.

No where else would cut my son’s hair the day before picture day but this place did. They were amazing and even though the salon was slammed she still took us in no questions asked. They are awesome and I highly recommend them.

I have gone to JF numerous times and the staff has all been great and knowledgeable! Last time I went though, I was very disappointed in my hair stylist. I had an appointment scheduled one day and she asked me 30 minutes before we were supposed to be there to push it back an hour because “she was running behind.” I had to work that day and I knew it would not be enough time to do my hair, so we scheduled it for the next day when I did not work. The next day when I showed up to my appointment, my hair stylist was 10 minutes late. My hair had some major growth (I have natural brown hair and I dye it blonde) so I needed to get it bleached and toned. I wanted blonde hair with just my roots showing just a little brown. She gave me blonde highlights instead. There are some pieces of my hair that are still half brown while other pieces the entire piece is blonde. It was streaky and did not give the natural look I was looking for but I was okay with it because it didn’t look too terribly bad, it was just not what I wanted at all. Then, a few days ago I went into to see a different stylist at a different salon and she asked me who did my hair last and I told her. She asked me the process that the stylist went through to do my hair and I told her. She then explained to me that some of my hair was sitting at a 2 to 3 level of blonde but the entire bottom half of my hair was sitting at a 8 or 9 because when she lightened the regrowth but she did not lighten my ends that showed the blonde. The new hairstylist told me that she could put toner it in but it would not hold at all since my hair was sitting at that high level and the salon closed in 1 hour so she had no time to even try to fix my hair. Overall, I am very upset. It is very expensive to keep your hair blonde, I knew that coming into it. Usually I can get it toned a few times before I have to get the regrowth lightened again, but this time I am going to have to get my entire hair lightened and toned again right after she did it. She charged me $85 to give me highlights that she called a whole head lighting process. I will visit this location again because most of the girls are awesome and know what they are doing, but I will not be visiting that stylist again.
