Critical: ProfessionalismI am surprised this place has as many stars as it does. I paid for an unlimited spray tan package for 2 months and it was a waste of time and money. Apart from poor and seriously unprofessional customer service (really, these girls are a joke) the the quality of the salon is below industry standard. The machines are not regularly serviced and it shows. The spray tan machines don’t spray evenly and sometimes it felt like nothing came out at all. If you’re looking for a place to tan on a regular skip this place and try any of the other salons in the area. I am surprised this place has as many stars as it does. I paid for an unlimited spray tan package for 2 months and it was a waste of time and money. Apart from poor and seriously unprofessional customer service (really, these girls are a joke) the the quality of the salon is below industry standard. Don’t go here. I made it very clear that I only wanted a 1 month membership. I called the store and they said I had to come in to “cancel”. So I went in and made sure. Very sad experience. First time here and really was hoping this was going to be my new spot to get my weekly spray tans. For me being a first time customer the owner really didn’t care about my experience. Spray tan was dripping off of me, like I just got out of a shower. Was not even at all.. Doesn’t help I have a wedding I’m attending and now my $35 tan is going to cost me almost $90 for having to go get another. For a business owner to not care about a satisfied client just blows my mind. She assulted my intelligence by acting like I had no experience in spray tanning. Hard to believe the disconcern she exhibited for my concerns over a bad experience. I feel she just ripped me off just for $35 dollar. This experience was a total rip off. Never had an experience like this with a tanning company EVER.

New owners mislead me about my account and gave me several run around answers as to what sessions I had left. I was previously told that I had sessions available and then when I went to use them, I was told that my account didn’t have enough credits to tan. They only want to sell products and new packages. Tan at the Islands has a very friendly staff. I talked to one of the owners Randy who helped me understand the differences between the different tanning beds. The store feels modern and clean which is a must for a tanning salon.
