I was visiting Pawleys Island on vacation, booked 1.5 hour deep tissue massage. Great experience, very nice ambiance and atmosphere in the spa. Owner provided the therapy services, she was attentive and provided a relaxing and therapeutic massage. Highly recommend Michelle and her spa.

I wish I could give more than five stars! I have had many massages, many modalities, and many massage therapists in many places. This is one of the very best by far. I had a one hour custom massage and added cupping. The custom massage included Swedish and deep tissue and the cupping was done intermittently during the massage. It was like Michelle knew exactly where I needed what type of pressure and where I needed the cupping, too. In certain spots, cupping was a little uncomfortable to start, but once I consciously relaxed that area I felt it loosen. It is likely that the areas where there was some discomfort initially are the areas that were tighter and benefited most from the cupping. The cups she uses are the vacuum type, no fire, no cuts in the skin (apparently that is done by some practitioners). Michelle’s new space is crisp, clean, and inviting. Michelle is also a warm person who made me feel welcome and at ease. Please do something kind for yourself and go see her!!!

I moved to Pawleys Island a few months ago. I wanted a locally owned business to help me with my chronic back pain. I looked and was able to book an appointment online (which I love). So simple and easy. I scheduled a one hour deep tissue massage. Island Pain Relief was wonderful from beginning to end. When you walk in, the front area smells amazing. Lots of candles and many other great products for sale. The massage was one of the best I’ve had. Definitely better than the massages you get from those chain places! When the massage was over, check out was easy and they even gave me a bottle of water to go. I’m glad to have Island Pain Relief so close to home. I’ve already booked my next appointment.

Was visiting family in Pawleys Island and my back went into spasm. Called a few of the popular spots and they were booked solid. Found island pain relief and they hooked me up with an appointment right away. Pamela was absolutely amazing. She realigned muscle and bone, worked pressure points in my feet, head, and neck. She asked all the right questions and continued to check in to make sure the pressure was right. I highly recommend island pain relief and Pamela. Can’t wait to go visit family again so I can have another massage.
