Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueRun!!! Do not walk to Iris Nails. I was unhappy with the nail salon that I was regularly going to and, just by chance, I asked the lady in the drive-thru where she gets her nails done. She said Iris Nails and because it was close by I called and made an appointment. When I tell you that I am so thankful for that woman because Iris Salon is great!!! I had messed up one of my big toes; I thought I was simply going to put acrylic over it. But, Hannah used her professional expertise to advise against that, and she literally reconstructed my big toe nail with fabric, powder and glue!!! They were so attentive, meticulous, and friendly. Run!!! Do not walk to Iris Nails. I was unhappy with the nail salon that I was regularly going to and, just by chance, I asked the lady in the drive-thru where she gets her nails done. Beware of new ownership and change in technicians. I used to love this place when it was under the previous owner and they had couple of good technicians who cared for you and your nails. However, with new ownership, the technician assigned to me to soak off my acrylics knew nothing about acrylics. When I told her not to use the machine to file off my nails but to soak it longer, the owner and another technician commented that it will take hours to soak off without using the machine to file the nails. I should have walked out right then, now I have paper thin nails that have been over filed and also some red lines on my nails where the filing was so deep. Please do not get acrylics here or anything other than a regular pedicure and manicure.

I got a mani/pedi. They were not busy, I was the only person there. Both were fine at the same time. My hand was not done that great, typically after a mani my cuticles look nice and clean and nails smooth. They were not. The pedi was nice and enjoyed the hot stone massage. But other than that just didn’t feel as relaxed as I normally do after a mani/pedi. I sometimes wonder if the issue is a rushed job or poor quality job is done because they think it’ll be a low or no tip job. Problem with that thinking is you prove yourself correct by doing a poor job and not deserving a good tip. I don’t know if that was the situation here, but I will be exploring other places in the future even though Iris is 1 block away. Should have gotten the hint there was a reason my mom never went there..

They are so sweet and do a great job. They give a mini hot stone massage on your legs for the basic pedicure and while you are getting your nails done they massage your shoulders and sometimes place heated wraps on your neck/back. They have a club style membership program which is really great if you get your nails done a lot. Just the nicest people in there too.
