Critical: Professionalism, QualityNot the worst experience I’ve ever had, but there are two reasons I can’t recommend this place. 1) The initial job done on my hair and one other customer’s I saw was sloppy and amateurish. 2) As of mid-June 2021, the employees are NOT vaccinated against Covid-19 and don’t wear masks, potentially putting their customers at risk. That’s the short of it, but for more details, read on.I chose this place because of the lovely fashion color haircuts I saw in their photos and the affordable prices. However, they didn’t put me with the stylist (Anndrea) who did the hair in those photos, but someone else. She’s clearly inexperienced with this kind of thing, because when I sat down for a consultation, she asked her colleague if she needed to put the cape on me for a consultation… I also saw a customer of hers walk out with a short cut that had a very obvious uneven spot in the back. Either she was in a hurry and didn’t care to fix it, or she didn’t notice it.As for my own hair, she claimed she couldn’t get the bleach as close to my roots as I wanted for bayalage but didn’t tell me this until she was mostly done with the bleaching already, so I got stuck with pretty long roots. And I know I’ve seen pictures to the contrary of what she claimed. Also, I showed her a picture of hair with roughly equal amounts of pink and purple but she did mine about 90% pink with weird splashes of purple in places, so I had to come back for a second appointment so she could fix it. They charged me for the second appointment despite the fact it was her mistake. (When pressed, her excuse was that she “tried” to follow the picture the first time. You need to do more than “try” in this industry!) Really, if she wasn’t comfortable doing what I wanted, or if she didn’t think she could, she should have been clear about it from the get-go and let another stylist do it instead.Now, the subject of Covid came up midway through the appointment, and my stylist revealed that, contrary to CDC recommendations, the unvaccinated employees were all walking around without masks. She did put one on when she realized I was uncomfortable, but they should ALL be wearing masks if they’re unvaccinated, especially in an enclosed indoor setting. I really hope they reconsider this choice for the safety of their customers.In conclusion, if you’re really set on going here no matter what and you want fashion colors, go with Anndrea.
