I am a Monterey gal who has lived in the UK for the last 25 years. I came home for my father’s Celebration of Life and was unable to have my hair cut due to lock down in England. I researched salons-In Bloom was the only one to take a reservation without stipulation-of which I read many that would charge me if my flight was cancelled!With a hard week behind me and one ahead, I walked into this salon and warmly greeted. Kirsten took me to her chair, listened attentively to how I would like my one length hair to be transformed and did not bat an eyelash when I explained that my psoriasis was flaring on my scalp (this I did with apprehension and Kirsten’s response helped me to relax).The shampoo and conditioner all Aveda was brilliant-I do wish I could have paid for a short head massage too!My hair cut is perfect and this is not an exaggeration and I am in no way just glad to have my hair done after so long. Kirsten asked me when cutting sections my preferences-I got what I communicated to her and she translated this with her talent. Kristen is superb in all aspects-warm, welcoming, attentive and most of all, in her artistic skill to cut hair. I am a Monterey gal who has lived in the UK for the last 25 years. I came home for my father’s Celebration of Life and was unable to have my hair cut due to lock down in England. Yesterday I went into Bloom Salon and was greeted by the very talented Kristin. She got me checked in and took me back to her station. I my self am a hairdresser and was very apprehensive about getting my hair done. From the start Kristin made me very comfortable and was super sweet. I came in will my hair having tons of warmer, brassier colors. I told Kristin I wanted my hair to be ashier and I wanted the warmer tones gone.

I have been terrified to get my hair done since my last experience with a hairstylist was really bad… but my mom kept telling me she found a great hairstylist, my roots were grown out and so I finally let her book me an appointment. Kristen listened to me, she was so nice and careful with my head haha. Needless to say, I’ve been seeing her now for the last few months. Both me & my mom love this place!

I went to In Bloom Salon for the first time two days ago. The salon is cozy, inviting and has that wonderful Aveda smell. The staff is friendly and warm natured. Kristin cut my hair as well as applied highlights and lowlights. I came with a few pictures of cuts I was considering and some idea of what I wanted my hair color to be (warmer). Kristin did an amazing job cutting and highlighting/lowlighting my hair. The highlights blend beautifully into my natural hair color, which I’m not a huge fan of. Since I don’t tend to style my hair on a daily basis, she steered me toward a cut that would look nice without all the product and blow drying. Kristin has been cutting hair for 9 years and has been with In Bloom for two years (I asked). She shows great skill, and I will be going to In Bloom Salon and Kristin for my future hair appointments.
