Five of us were scheduled for hair, three for makeup for my wedding. We arrived at 9, and were ready to go. We had two stylists and one assistant who just started with curls. Everything was going fine with the hair. The makeup is where they really struggled. I had asked for a natural look, and showed pictures of natural makeup with the eyes being a “smokey” look but instead of brown or gray, a gold/bronze color. The first iteration I got was pink shadow, sparkling foundation, a black eyeliner. I don’t wear a lot of makeup and find that my eye lashes are dark enough on their own. The mascara was clumpy and they didn’t have a comb to separate the lashes. They also ran out of makeup wipes. The second time, the shadow was a bit better but still not at all what I had asked for. I ended up taking off the mascara, taking off the black eyeliner and putting my own brown on, and my friend touched up the eyeshadow. My face was shiny from glitter, and it just didn’t look good. The main stylist Charlene, who is also probably the most experienced, told my sister that she should have done my makeup, and I agreed. They kept saying the amount of makeup is good for pictures, but it was over the top. We wanted makeup done by professionals because they should certainly be better than the average person, we didn’t want over the top for pictures. We were done about 11:30, which was good because a ton of other people, I guess another bridal party with little girls and parents came in, which for the small space was very chaotic and we were rushed out after that. It’s too bad they have a mandatory %20 gratuity, and too bad that my 5 minutes of putting curls in my very short hair costed so much money. I also brought my own 1/2″ iron because it seems they don’t have one that small and when you have short hair, you need a skinny iron. To which, I was also told I could not have spirals but I fixed that myself too. They did discount my trial hair, but not my actual wedding up-do charge. I would recommend Charlene for hair but that’s about it. We also didn’t get the “We offer complimentary chocolate fondue served w/fresh fruit for every bridal party booked with us in our Salon!” so not sure where that was. It was definitely not the bridal experience you would expect.

I’m very picky when it comes to getting my hair cut, it’s very hard for me to find someone who not only can cut it right but who I trust cutting my hair, and Lisa has done a phenomenal job each time she has cut my hair, I now have someone to cut my hair on a regular basis thanks to Lisa!!!
