I have been going to Illusions several times. All the hairstylists are REAL professionals and the atmosphere is very friendly. I love my cut and also the color. I always walk out of this salon feeling and looking my Best! They treat you with respect and they do exactly what you ask for. The appointments are exact and there is actually no wait time. There is parking space which makes me comfortable commuting. Overal, Do not hesitate to go there!

I came here for a haircut after reading the nice reviews online. I had a great experience with Josh – he had some great styling tips for my hair type and patiently cut and styled my hair. Everyone at the salon is welcoming and there is parking too.

My very first time here! I am very impressed with the friendliness of the front desk staff to the amazing cut and style I received from Gorkem. I called as a random person desperately needing a cut and style and I was offered a same day appointment. When I arrived, I noticed the small sign for off-street parking in the rear. This was a plus as parking is a premium in this narrow section of Wisconsin Avenue.

Gorkem did highlight for me and I love it , also they have special treatment for highlight and that was amazing my hair after treatment was so shiny and smooth. I came in to redo my roots as a natural blonde and was charged 1.5x the amount for partial highlights and ended up leaving with brown and PURPLE tinted hair. When I asked for a refund they refused and only stripped the brown from my hair, leaving it the exact way it was before I came in. Don’t come here. Hair highlighting

I wish I could leave zero stars. I was recently employed by this company after the change of ownership and these new owners Gorkem/Reyhan are completely delusional. Stay far away from this place as they have no concept of how to run a buisiness or respect fellow employees. To top it off they also illegally reversed my direct deposit after I was terminated. So just letting you know there are plenty of other salons in DC do yourself a favor and stay away from this one.

Illusions is fantastic! I wouldn’t trust anywhere else to color my hair. Kayla especially is incredible. She’s so attentive, great at figuring out exactly what I want and is so knowledgeable and committed to her work. I can’t say enough great things– if you’re getting your hair colored, especially a dramatic change, definitely come here.
