Critical: Professionalism, QualityI sent my daughter to get her nails done for her Senior pictures. She called me crying because the woman who did her nails would not listen to her and was tugging her hands aggressively. She was afraid to go back into the nail salon to let them know that her nails were not shaped how she asked and they had little holes through the acrylic. I was nearby, so I was going to speak with someone to have them fixed. Well I pull up and they closed the store. No one there. According to the door they should have been open. This was a Saturday at 5 pm, however they weren’t. Lights were off and doors were locked. Extremely disappointing being that her photos were the next day. I sent my daughter to get her nails done for her Senior pictures. She called me crying because the woman who did her nails would not listen to her and was tugging her hands aggressively. She was afraid to go back into the nail salon to let them know that her nails were not shaped how she asked and they had little holes through the acrylic. Every time I read positive reviews, I’m wondering how often the reviewers get nails done. This place is not good for gel manicures. I’ve been twice now thinking maybe it was the particular tech but no…2 coats (but not the whole nail-they leave a perimeter with no Polish). I just can’t do that. Prices are way too high for the half $&’/ job.

They were in such a rush to get me out that they sprayed my nails with quick dry spray and told me I could leave but that I needed to be careful because only the top layer was dry. After said visit, my polish came off 3 days later and because I was out of town for business, I had no other choice but to remove the polish off of the remaining 3 nails. When I went in and told the owner what happened he asked what I wanted to do about it and I said I would like for the polish to be redone. After getting the polish redone, I was informed that there would be a charge for this service, a service I required due to THEIR lack of care. Safe to say it’s time to find a new salon…

Idyllic nails is an excellent nail salon! Since I moved to Richmond a year ago I have tried several nail salons but now I can stop looking. Elle does my gel polish so well I have never had a problem with peeling at the base or chipping for the first time in years. I can easily go 3 weeks between manicures if necessary. The owner sets a pleasant tone and the nail techs here are very friendly, and everybody joins the conversation. The salon is clean and tidy and they have a huge selection of colors. I recommend scheduling an appointment because they stay pretty busy, although I did a walk in the first time and they were very accommodating. I highly recommend the place.

The shop is small, but the warm and inviting atmosphere envelops you like a “Snuggie!” My favorite nail tech, Kimberly, does an amazing job! She takes good care of my hands and nails while we enjoy pleasant conversation. The store manager/owner always offers me something to drink while I wait. I may take him up on his offer next time. A pleasant experience with each visit!

My mother and I were extremely disappointed in our current nail salon when we came across Idyllic Nails. One of the things I love is that they stick to their appts. We hv NEVER had to wait. ALL of the nail technicians do a great job so you can never go wrong. Young(the owner)is very helpful with anything you need and the staff there all get along wonderfully so it makes the atmosphere fun and lighthearted. Definitely recommend trying them out!

Best salon ever! You will not be just a “client” here. The atmosphere is open and inviting. Coming here has become a tradition for me and my mom and the workers here go over and beyond to make sure you have a good experience. These people work so hard and they still have smiles on their faces and its great to see.
