I’ve been to this spa every few months for about the past 3 years since I moved to Dutchess. In general it’s not bad and you get what you pay for. Prices have increased during Covid due to costs, so what used to be a $30/hour foot massage when I started going is now $45/hour. I had the 30 minute chair massage once and didn’t find it enjoyable to be rubbed over my shirt while being mostly upright. I’m not complaining about the increase but while the cost has gone up, to me, the quality has decreased. I don’t expect it to be equivalent to a more expensive spa visit but my past two experiences were unpleasant. I’m not particularly comfortable with a man giving me a massage, and they have a fair number of male staff members. Service varies from employee to employee and I can say out of all of the times I’ve visited, only 2 staff members did a really great job. My visit before last, I had a male therapist and I had to ask him three times to use less pressure. By the end, when he got to my arms, I stopped him and said I’ve had enough. I was sore for a day or two. On my visit this past Sunday morning, I specifically requested a female, and at the start of the massage, her pressure was already too much, and I had to ask her to go softer. I’m not sure if she understood me because she proceeded to knuckle into my calves and side of my knee as hard as she possibly could, resulting in soreness through Tuesday night, and what I’m pretty positive is a bruise. I don’t understand why massage places think that a hard massage pressing into your bones is relaxing. The service is always polite but unfortunately, I have not enjoyed my last 2 foot rubs at this place, because they are too forceful. I may be very sensitive to pressure, but having two bad massages in a row means I will not return.

I have been going to HY Foot Spa for the past couple months. I can never express how much I appreciate the skills, professionalism, and kindness from all the staff- especially Michael and Jason. I am given the gift of relaxation that lasts for days after spending an hour with them. Thank you all- HIGHLY recommended!

My first time there and they asked me if I wanted an hour massage. I said sure even though I could see they were really busy. I spent 45 mins waiting naked in a room and no one ever came in.

The massage itself was pretty good. Very very deep tissue- this hurt but also sort of felt good due to having so many knots. There was No communication if the pressure was okay or not. I also just kind of felt uncomfortable from the moment I entered. You kind of get bombarded with people trying to figure out what kind of massage you want. No one really speaks much English which is fine but I wanted specific things in my massage that I was unable to really communicate to them. The establishment felt very unprofessional and unorganized. I was there with my partner- his massage therapist kept starting and stopping his massage for the first 5 minutes and my massage therapist switched from a female to a male within the first 15 minutes with again, no communication. We both got up from our massages thinking “that was good but super weird from start to finish”. Not sure I would return to this foot spa.

I came here previously for a massage, I received a gift certificate for Christmas for 50$ for a hour massage. I was shocked when paying they demanded at least a 20% tip as far as I know tips are optional and the fact that I gave her a tip and she gave it back to me and told me it wasn’t enough for her. I will never go back here again. As for the massage I could get it anywhere else.

This has been my favorite spa from the date it opened!! My husband and I have gone for many massages and hands down, there’s no comparison. Hy spa is the best. The incredibly talented staff have never disappointed! We’ve paid 6 times as much for a massage that was sub par at best compared to these masseuses!! They have excellent prices, talented staff and a cozy environment. I also highly recommend the dream girls spa next door for mani, pedi, and facials. They really take there time and pamper you, they make you feel spoiled and totally relaxed. Fantastic and run by the same owner. Lovely people, great experience!!!
