Courtney is amazing!!! She is excellent with color!!! She is personable and just overall very nice. I tend to really like short hair….and even though she loves cutting long hair she still does an amazing job on knowing what I like 🙂 The place overall is very nice. I came here about 2 years ago for bridesmaid hair and make up and I loved loved loved everything about the experience. I started following the salon on Instagram after and saw that they someone doing eyelash extensions so I decided to go and I’m so glad I did. Not only is Stephanie amazing at what she does (I’ve gotten so many compliments) but she was so sweet I felt like I was just hanging out with a friend which made the time fly by. I will definitely be going back for fills, the drive in from New Jersey is well worth it

The actual services are pretty decent depending on who you see. The major problem of this place is the snotty attitudes of the girls who work here, particularly at the front desk. They are never warm or welcoming. They gossip chat and judge and it is just never a comfortable experience when dealing with them. They just never want to be bothered. Typical Staten Island vibe, but if you can get past that then it’s ok for hair and makeup.

It is pricey, but worth it. I had the Brazilian straightening when they had a promotion. My stylist was Stephanie. She was courteous and professional. Very knowledgeable. I will definitely return for a haircut. The place was busy, and as I watched the other stylist’s work, I was impressed. They didn’t have many lines they were retailing. They do skin and hair.

I have 1 word about house of trends and that’s, AMAZING! I got my wedding hair and makeup done by Jessica and Michelle and I couldnt be happier. I felt like the most beautiful bride and all night everyone was asking me who did my hair/makeup. I didn’t get a hair trial and wasn’t exactly sure of what I wanted but Jessica worked her magic and it turned out to be everything I wanted but couldnt explain. I did do a makeup trial with Michelle but ended up doing something completely different on the day of the wedding. For the trial I asked for a more natural look, and on the day of the wedding I decided to go dramatic, the two looks were totally different but done equally well. I think I was more worried about hair and makeup than any other aspect of the wedding but I couldn’t have made a better decision than to go to H.O.T. I also had a really early appointment (7am) and my evening wedding didn’t start till 7pm and both my hair and makeup held up beautifully until we got bak home @ 4am! My mother also got her hair done by Jessica and makeup by Irena and she looked fantastic! I heard people say House of Trends is a bit pricey, but it’s worth every penny. The overall experience is nothing short of fantastic and I can’t wait to go back!

House of Trends like always is amazing. This is the first time going back since COVID, so I wanted to share how they have gone above and beyond to make sure to keep everyone safe. They have placed plexi glass every where to divide. Everything is clearly being sanitized. You have to wait in the car, no waiting in the salon. So aside from Jessica cutting amazing hair like always, she has made sure the salon is as safe as can be during this pandemic.

This Saturday in particular for my niece Sophia’s wedding Jamie gave me the exaggerated, towering French Twist I wanted – my new go-to do – and Michelle gave me the ‘60s face that completed the look. Absolutely the most unprofessional Salon EVERRRRR!!!! I don’t want to call this place discriminating, but that’s how I honestly felt or maybe its just that they have the worst customer service ever !!!. three months ago I went to this salon to get a quote on how much they would charge me to dye my hair and hair extensions the girl in the front told me $290+ I said to her it was ok as long as they would leave it the way I wanted it. I explained to the girl I needed a late apt because I live in Brooklyn and I come out of work at 5pm, so she gave me a 6:30pm. The day of my appointment when I was on my way there was crazy traffic because they were taking down the toll booths to install the camera. so I had called the salon at 5:30pm and I told them I was going to be 15 minutes late if that was ok and I explained to the receptionist I was coming from Brooklyn to please Let me know I didn’t want to pay the toll for no reason she told me it was ok as long I was there before 7pm I said yes I was going to be 15 late. When I finally arrived at 6:42pm (my apt was at 6:30) they told me to take a seat at the Hair dressers area, a young lady came and gave me rube and a towel for my shoulders. 2min later the RUDEEE hair dresser came to me and ask me what I wanted I explained to her after I did she called the young lady back and said take that robe off her im not doing her hair she was late. I was in disbelief because she made it seem like ok lets get started and I explained to her and I told her I called and the young lady over the phone said it was ok, she told me she was sorry that I can come back some other time because she had another girl for 7:15 I was reallyyyyyy upset I didn’t want to make a scene. I don’t want to play the race card but that’s what it seem like happened I was the only Spanish girl there and she send me off. I wasn’t getting a cheap job done but I guess she thought I wasn’t her type of client. I understand I was late but I called and they told me its ok come, all i wanted was a single processes. I’m so disgusted with this salon. I will never step foot in that place. The worst customer service ever !!! I left in tears because I couldn’t believe how crappy this women made me feel
