Worst gel manicure I’ve ever had. Started to leave because the place didn’t feel clean. Wish I had. The manicure lasted about 15 minutes. A record. Also a record was how quickly the polish came off. Gel usually lasts several weeks. One entire thumb nail flaked off in 24 hours. I am four days out and they are all chipping off. Gel manicures

I’ve never left a review before, but I felt I had to in this case. Nail techs were rude, and did not ask or care about our comfort at all. Nail tech did not ask if I was satisfied with my pedicure, but got up immediately when she was done. My nail technician had her long hair down, and it was all over my feet while she was filing and cutting my nails. My mother’s nail technician kept unknowingly touching my mother’s feet to her breasts, which made her uncomfortable. The store was filthy, the nail polish bottles were greasy. My mother where to place her purse and drink, and her technician just stared at her. I had to ask for toe separators, and when I did, my technician told me that I would be fine and didn’t need them. I insisted. When my mother went to pay, she wasn’t going to leave a tip. However, the employee was looking at her intently as she signed the receipt and tapped the counter and said, “tip?” And my mother is too polite to say no. Do not come here. I am so disappointed, this was a gift for my mother’s birthday and she wanted to leave so badly that she ended up paying just so we could leave sooner.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityEveryone was super nice! I went with 2 other friends and we were all done within an hour(we all had appointments, mine for a gel nail and a pedicure and my other friends for acrylics). I would say try to make an appointment because otherwise it might take a really long time because they serve appointments before walk-ins. In all everyone was great and the polish holds up very well!Services: Manicure, Acrylic nails, Gel manicures, PedicureEveryone was super nice! Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI have been coming to this salon for over two years. The quality has consistently gone down, but I’ve continued going because I’m a loyal customer. This recent trip was the last straw. I asked the owner for the ombré nails in the bottom half of the attached picture (but shorter). The shapes are not the same, the acrylic did not come all the way to the edges of the nail, and there was a large bump in the acrylic by the cuticle because she did not file the tops before painting. I asked her to fix the shape of a couple of nails before she was finished One nail had to be completely re-done because it was too bad to fix, and she didn’t do the other. While she was fixing the one nail, she was telling me how she was the only one who would do my design at any salon because it’s “difficult.” I received the dead tree forest-looking nails in the top half of the attached photo. When I brought up that I was so unhappy with the nails that I just wanted them removed (I had already been in the salon 2 hours), the owner told me my nails looked fine and that she would be charging me for my nails AND the removal and that I should just have them repainted. The owner also explained to me that the mountains of excess acrylic by my cuticles and misshapen nail were because she did the ombré paint on the other end of my finger?????? When I asked the owner why I was responsible to pay for a bad product she herself made, and she told me that I was paying for her time (and therefore paying for a her product that I was unhappy with). Never in my LIFE have I been told I was financially responsible for someone else’s BAD WORKMANSHIP. I had her repaint the nails so I wouldn’t be paying for nothing, and not only did she still charge for the original set of nails, she charged for the second paint, which still looks awful. I didn’t want free nails; I didn’t want to pay for something that looked so bad and asked her to completely remove them. All in all, I paid SEVENTY DOLLARS for plain black nails that look worse than if I had tried to do them myself, blindfolded, with my left hand. Goodbye, House of Nails. I hope the $70 was worth the loss of repeat customers.Service: Acrylic nailsI have been coming to this salon for over two years. TERRIBLE customer service!! I went the first time with my cousin and even when we had an appointment they made us wait an hour after that time to even start. When we did get in, they rushed us and were not very friendly. We decided to give them another try, and it was even worse. They didn’t listen to what we asked for, then tried to overcharge and chastised us for not being more clear. They also were laughing at the job they did on my niece’s nails and we had to ask them to fix them. They got polish on my fingers and it was bumpy and not professional looking. The worst part was the rudeness.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI paid $45 for myself I got a overlay full set gel polish and my daughter got fill gel polish ($30) so total of $75. I noticed both techs worked extremely quick as it was already close to closing time (6:45 pm) I understand wanting to leave on time but in that case please do not take in clients and charge full amount for half dedicated services. My set was extremely bumpy from the acrylic not being applied correctly and my daughters was even worse. I decided I would simply not tip the techs and not return to the shop but after only 2 days both of our sets have peeled and it makes me very upset to have paid somebody $75 for something that lasted 2 days. I do not recommed this place at all. Seriously extremely unprofessional to do this to potential permanent clients.Service: ManicureI paid $45 for myself I got a overlay full set gel polish and my daughter got fill gel polish ($30) so total of $75. I’m a former nail tech so I’m very picky. I’ve had a hard time finding a nail salon I can feel comfortable in as far as cleanliness. House of Nails is the best I’ve been to. They also achieved exactly the look I was going for. I got a deluxe pedicure and a full set of dip nails and was out in an hour and a half. Love this shop and I’ll definitely be back!

Went in after a bad experience at another salon in Edmond. Was greeted nicely. Xena was my nail tech. She is very kind and did a great job on my nails! The shape was absolutely perfect. She didn’t rush me like other places do, she took her time and perfected my nails. The salon was also very clean and relaxing. Will definitely be coming back!
