Critical: ProfessionalismI’m seeing a lot of the reviews are for going to Nicole’s salon, so this review is for her bridal services. First, make sure you ask Nicole to edit her contract language before you sign it. My husband’s mother decided the morning of she didn’t want to pay to have her hair done by Nicole and her team, so I overpaid Nicole which she is now keeping MY money. Things happen and she was not understanding of that. Second, her makeup artist showed up over an hour early and practically demanded my dogs be nowhere around her or she wouldn’t come inside the house to do our makeup that had already paid for (this was not ever mentioned prior to my wedding day). Third, Nicole wanted final payment 1 week before. Anyone who has planned a wedding knows how stressful it is and things are forgotten. She allowed us to pay her the day of services, but overcharged us. The hair styles were close to what we had all asked for, but not quite right. They all fell by the time we got to the church (yes, it was a hot September day, but there was no reason for the curls to fall in 1 hour). Very unprofessional dealing with money and her clients. She was not understanding and owes me $120. Oh, and on top of all of that she charges an outrageous travel fee which she adds as a “service” so she can add her 20% gratuity on top of that (which was non-negotiable on her end). Nicole and all of the staff are highly professional and knowledgeable about products and processes, and the service I’ve received has been outstanding all along. I’ve been a client at Nicole’s House of Beauty for about 6 months, I go for color every 4 weeks, and a haircut every 2 or 3 months. Nicole and all of the staff are highly professional and knowledgeable about products and processes, and the service I’ve received has been outstanding all along. I highly recommend this salon, also strongly suggest calling far in advance (it can be hard to get an appointment).
