I highly highly highly recommend hot mess!! I was looking for a place to do my bridal makeup, and when I saw a place called Hot Mess I thought “wow that’s me!” I communicated back and forth with Max who is amazing, and was very accommodating and responsive and made me excited to be a client! I drove down to the salon in Asbury for my bridal trial, and I walked in as they were finishing up wedding makeup. The vibe was SO FUN! The artists were chatting with me and my MOH as we were waiting and they had music playing and just a great environment. Then I got to start working with Chelsea who is incredible. Not just as an artist but just as a human being. She was bubbly and fun and was so excited to create beautiful eyeshadow colors to match my wedding vibe, which she picked up on right away. I was so comfortable. Fast forward to the wedding day, and the vibes stayed the same. Chelsea met us on location, instantly got us pumped, music going. The bridesmaids loved her as much as I did, and we all felt and looked beautiful. I also have to add that I have VERY problematic skin, like really bad acne and I was so worried about it for the wedding day but she explained how she would conceal it and reassured me the whole time and then when I saw my face I almost ruined it by crying. It was the most beautiful I ever felt. Highly recommend this place to anyone, but especially for wedding makeup.

There was magic at work on Sunday morning when Alicia kindly and punctually opened the salon for me. My hair never looked more gorgeous than it did when she completed my 1/2 up 1/2 down bridal shower dew. And it stayed beautiful even through the pouring rain that day. I had so many compliments on my makeup and hair, I think I will always try to find a reason to travel all the way from Tennessee to get back to Hot Mess Studio in Asbury. Many compliments to Max for fast response to my initial inquiry. First class all the way.

My hair was done by Michelle and was absolutely beautiful. They were extremely professional, understanding and accommodating. My mother purchased us Groupons for mani/pedi’s. We had 9 & 10 appointments with their nail tech on site. The place was beautiful, modern, trendy, clean. They do everything here, hair, nails, makeup, waxing, eyelashes, eyebrows and there’s a store attached for shopping. It has everything you need. The staff was BEYOND helpful, friendly, cheerful, it was a wonderful experience. They were able to squeeze me in for a wash and cut. The owner went put of her way to make sure I was able to get an appointment. Our nail tech was Jenn, she was awesome and down to earth. The young lady that cut my hair was Janelle, she was a doll. Can’t wait to go back. If you’re on the fence about going, GO.

I always have a great experience at Hot Mess! Every stylist I have worked with has been great! Rory washed my hair this past time, and OMG! His head massage was amazing! I could have sat in that chair all day! I highly recommend Hot Mess!

Definitely the best hair salon in the area.. I’ve had some pretty bad experiences at some high-end salons but hot mess definitely blows the other people out of the park. Ashley (@ashleyhairart) is amazing! She always listens to exactly what I want and somehow it comes out better than what I’m thinking! She is so sweet and really takes her time to make sure everything is perfect, her balayage skills are epic She is also super gentle, I have thick curly hair and never feel a thing!
