He gave me the after care instructions to which I completely misunderstood, and through no fault of his, my ear got very red and swollen. Not only did he change out the jewelry and do all the after care for free, he was also VERY kind and patient with me and my anxious type “A” personalty. I ended up bugging the poor guy several times, and he gave great customer service with a smile every single time. He even helped me on his days off. He was able to save my piercings, and they look fabulous now.Hoops is one of the oldest tattoo/piercing shops in town and their experience is reflected by their knowledge of their art. They might cost a little more than the other shops in town, but when you’re putting holes in your body it seems to me like you’d want it done right.FOLLOW UP:Went back to the shop several times because I needed jewelry changed/replaced, or needed advice on care. The owner abliged me every time, was kind enough to give me a discount on the jewelry when I told him I was broke, and even came in on his day off so that my piercings didn’t close up. He’s a great guy, has a superb “bed side manor” for people who are nervous about putting holes in their body, and wouldn’t even accept a tip on the follow up visits. I went to Hoops and got three piercings by the owner. He gave me the after care instructions to which I completely misunderstood, and through no fault of his, my ear got very red and swollen. Not only did he change out the jewelry and do all the after care for free, he was also VERY kind and patient with me and my anxious type “A” personalty. I have had many piercings done and various places and this was by far the easiest, almost painless, and so professional and funny! My nose didn’t even turn red. I’m on day two and no soreness either. Simple instructions on care and an old school vibe. Clearly this guy knows what he’s doing! I will always come here for future work! I had my nose pierced yesterday and can honestly say I’m beyond pleased with the results! I have had many piercings done and various places and this was by far the easiest, almost painless, and so professional and funny! My nose didn’t even turn red. I’m on day two and no soreness either. Simple instructions on care and an old school vibe. Clearly this guy knows what he’s doing! I will always come here for future work!
