This is one of the few salons in Kalamazoo still masking. They have air filters, a filter on the HVAC system, and masks. If you’re vaccinated, you don’t need a mask, but everyone working there is masked all day. I am high risk and really appreciated this.

Went there a few weeks ago; I loved the experience then and I’m still happy with my cut. The staff was insanely nice and welcoming, and very knowledgeable. I saw Masha and I have no complaints. I naturally have pretty thick, curly hair and she handled it perfectly. Walked through exactly what I wanted, gave styling and care tips along the way, was very thorough overall.

The professionalism, friendliness, and fun is just so above and beyond here! Kalamazoo seriously does not deserve this wonderful place! If I ever move I’m packing the salon and everyone with it into my suitcase! I have never had a go to place until I found Honoré Salon! The professionalism, friendliness, and fun is just so above and beyond here! Kalamazoo seriously does not deserve this wonderful place! If I ever move I’m packing the salon and everyone with it into my suitcase! Honestly though, you won’t be disappointed at all, I’ve never had better service anywhere in the country (I’ve lived in a lotttt of places) than here!

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI came in for a lightening to get back to my natural color (Ginger) and she ended up doing 2 bleach jobs and a hair cutt and my hair is fried , the cutt is noticeably uneven like my hair was cutt on stairs . my hair is so damaged to the point where im going to have to cutt almost all of my hair off it is not repairable. And I paid $325 and i bought products and i tipped as well her service was wonderful she was nice but she needs more training . I came in for a lightening to get back to my natural color (Ginger) and she ended up doing 2 bleach jobs and a hair cutt and my hair is fried , the cutt is noticeably uneven like my hair was cutt on stairs . my hair is so damaged to the point where im going to have to cutt almost all of my hair off it is not repairable. I came here twice to get my hair done with just a month between. The first time i had wanted an all over bleach to be able to have a silver/gray color but the receptionist did not schedule me for the correct amount of time so I ended up only being able to do a partial foil because I needed my roots touched up and then had to schedule a second appointment to do what I had asked to do in the first one (so i ended up paying about $300 combined to still be unhappy). Come the second appointment time the same stylist did what i had requested but their toner did not pick up on my hair at all and there was no sort of shadow root put in as the photo i showed her had, so i ended up with bleach blonde root to tip and my prior highlights still stayed as brassy streaks in the blonde. I understand how all of this goes and would have walked away from the experience indifferent but in the final moments the hair stylist BURNT the back of my head with the curling iron and when I pulled away and said something she didn’t say anything about it. I now have a portion of my freshly bleached hair stained with blood from having a large scabby burnt spot on the back of my head completely visible through the almost white hair. I would not recommend this salon to anyone who wants anything other than a haircut.

The atmosphere is always so calming – you walk in and can take a breath and just be while you get your hair cut. Shaun is always amazing and recently Kevon cut our daughters hair (first hair cut) and he accomplished it with no tears and a very kind attitude. Thank you both!

So, I started looking for something better and was referred here. I called in and they set me up with Kevon. To be honest, I didn’t think that guys got their hair cut at salons so I thought I’d be out of place. Turns out that was really ignorant and this salon is awesome. I kept getting mediocre haircuts from places like judes barbershop. For instance, they kept giving me the same “standard guy haircut” no matter what I asked for. So, I started looking for something better and was referred here. I called in and they set me up with Kevon. To be honest, I didn’t think that guys got their hair cut at salons so I thought I’d be out of place. Turns out that was really ignorant and this salon is awesome. Love Honore Salon. LOVE! Kristin cut and highlighted my curly/wavy hair. It had been years since I had colored my hair and I was really nervous about the golden brown highlights looking good on my dark hair. Kristin was very patient with me and listened to my very specific requests. When she was finished I was SO impressed!! She did a fantastic job with both my cut and color and I left feeling like a movie star. Kristin, you rock!! <3
