Located on the West Bank, Hong’s Nails is a proud women-owned local family business serving the beautiful women and men of New Orleans. Hong has provided nail care and services for multi-generational families (grandmothers, mothers, daughters, granddaughters and the men of the family) in our beautiful and vibrant community for over 20 years. Hong’s Nails is open to all and welcomes people from all walks of life. We also provide friendly nail care for men and those from the LGBTQI+ community. We are New Orleans strong. Hong is also famously known for specializing in long natural nails and is the go-to nail technician for some of New Orlean’s most beautiful long natural nail goddesses since 1996.

Umm, I went here on a Sunday because the other nail shops was closed and boy do I regret that! After a week my polish chipped when it was supposed to be “gel” and gel supposed to last way longer. After a few days my nails just looked soo old, no shine at all, and the coat they use before to make the acrylic pink for French tips have bubbles in it, it isn’t smooth at all. The shop can use an update as well, very 70’s, the plastic divider that separates the nail tech from the customer was very dirty, probably full of bacteria and looks like it haven’t had a clean in years.

Over the phone they told me 30 for pedicure and 25 for a full set. They did a great job on my pedicure. But when it came to my nails I asked for a French manicure instead, which was listed as $20, but at the end of my services they charged me $65 and I had bubbles under my nail polish which I asked the nail tech about and she was about to re-polish my nails but another customer was who had an appointment was complaining about her wait(which she was correct about because she had been waiting over 45mins after her scheduled time) the nail tech rushed off to complete the customer’s pedicure and left my nails like this. Unacceptable, my first and very last time going here.

Critical: QualityAsked for mid length almond shaped nails. Go varied length varied shaped nails. Nails are flat across and sides are bumpy and thick. I had to request the bigger lumps on the sides to filed down before I left. Nail polish isn’t smooth over the nail. There are lifted areas from the metallic flakes under the clear coat.They did a wonderful job on my toes and eyebrows but I am headed to look for a place to get my nails fixed.
