I have been meaning to write this review for a bit now. I had a cut from Krystal a few months back and I LOVE it. It was one of the most personalized cuts I have received and has grown out so nicely to fit my low-maintenance styling needs. Krystal was so warm and set a very relaxed atmosphere for the cut/style. HIGHLY recommend this place for a laidback vibe and awesome service!

Been going to this spot in its various incarnations off and on for a few years now and every time has been excellent. Every time, the owner Isaac has greeted me by name (even when I haven’t been in in 3 years!) and made me feel super welcome, always ready to sling an IPA or a La Croix. The vibe is always upbeat with great tunes, chic yet comfortable decor, and a barber for every type. I usually just go with the first available barber and have yet to be disappointed. Definitely set Hometown as your go to!

This review is LONNNNGGGG overdue! Isaac and Ryan are without a doubt the last of a dying breed. My soon to be 7 year old son and I drive 30 minutes to get our haircuts from Ryan because it’s that outstanding. Not only are the haircuts phenomenal, the customer service is something I’ve yet to experience anywhere else. As seemingly more and more small businesses are evaporating, Isaac and Ryan have found a way to bring back the lost art of the local barber. Every time we’re in, we’re greeted with a smile and are genuinely asked how we are. As if the haircuts weren’t enough, the hospitality is on another level. It’s not uncommon for my son to find his way around the shop (juice box [or 3] in hand), helping sweep up hair and talking to anyone who will listen — which is…EVERYONE. We are so thankful for Isaac, Ryan and the entire staff at Hometown Hair Lounge. Next time we’re in we’ll be sure to grab some t-shirts to represent such an awesome establishment. They’re always down to help, accommodate and provide us with seemingly anything we need. Thank you so much Isaac, Ryan and squad. We are SO thankful. Keep being the light you are. This world needs it!

My husband has been going here for awhile now and gets his haircuts done by Ryan. Every time he gets a haircut, it always looks amazing! Today we brought in our two year old son to get his first haircut. I was really nervous at first because I didn’t know how my son was going to react. But right as we walked in, I already felt at ease. Isaac greeted us with a big smile and was super friendly! We had Ryan cut our son’s hair and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! He was so patient, gentle and kind. He even took the time to show him the tools he was using to cut his hair. I am so happy how my son’s hair turned out. So a huge thank you to Ryan and Isaac! You guys are the absolute best!

The crew here is absolutely awesome, they do an awesome job at an awesome price every time. The area is always neat and tidy with well kept plants throughout the whole lounge. I experienced the owner as patronizing and rude over the phone. They have a very tight policy on being late, which is completely understandable, but there is no reason to speak to people in such a flippant and condescending way. The most basic customer service skills are all that were needed in that moment. I wasn’t able to keep my appointment, which is not the problem, but based on the way he spoke to me, I decided not to reschedule. No hair stylist is worth dealing with that kind of poor attitude. We all have careers and schedules, and we are all human, so please speak on the phone as if you are speaking to a human whose time is just as valuable as yours.

Hometown hair lounge is easily the best barbershop I’ve been too. I’ve always been greeted with a smile and professionalism, the entire staff is extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. I highly recommend Ryan if you’re unsure which barber to go to, his attention to detail is unmatched and he takes the time to understand what you want to do with your hair. Isaac has tons of information on hair products and he will help you choose the right product for your hair type and style. There’s always great music inside that changes frequently, the interior is very comfortable and there’s always great vibes.
