Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueMy sister just received a pedicure here at this establishment. She went to get a pedicure and a fill in. We don’t live far from the salon so she wanted to support a local business. My sister ALWAYS keeps her nails and feet done. AND WE DEFINITELY don’t need to steal services as were are very well known in the area for our business establishment. Anyway my sister didn’t like the color she got and asked for a change. The man asked her if there was an issue and she stated no she just wanted a different color. He then asks my sister if she wanted to get her nails done she told him yes and then he insists on her paying for the full service then and there. She had no issue even though this has never been done to her or I before. She told him her card was in the car and wanted to grab it even left her phone and her wallet she was sitting she then gets up and he runs to the door and locked her in. My sister actually had cash but we use cash in a daily basis for our customers at our work establishment. Anyway he locked her in the store and accused her of trying to steal and even took her phone(still wouldnt let her leave even though her had her cell phone and wallet) which she had no issue with so she could prove she was just walking to the car to grab her debit card. I highly believe she was discriminated against! She is a honest patron within our community and many can vouch for this! In no way is it okay to treat your customers like this. Even if you decided to put your shop in a iffy area doesn’t make it okay to discriminate against folks. My sister was highly upset I’ve never heard her like this and not only that she was embarrassed.
