I was referred to one of the employees, Janeth, from a friend of mine and was very happy with her work. However, the owner is extremely unprofessional and rude; I am not sure how she continues to stay in business with her attitude! I went there several times because of the good work Janeth did, however, I won’t be going there anymore since I prefer to pay a little more and be treated as a customer should be treated. In one occasion, the owner spoke in Spanish to Janeth asking her to charge me $20 more than I usually paid there, thinking that I don’t understand Spanish. When I was asked to pay, I approached her about the price and she said she was joking!! Really??? Then on my daughter’s communion day, while she knew very well that I had a party of 150 people to go to, she sends me a text saying that my hair appointment was cancelled because one of her employees was sick that morning, without apologizing nor even trying to accommodate me with someone else. While I understand that people get sick, I also know as a business owner myself, that you try your best to accommodate your customers as much as you can. I have never written a bad review for any business before since again, as a business owner myself, I feel like you should give people a chance. There were many chances given to Hollywood salon and I feel obligated to let customers know what they will be dealing with if they go there. Maybe, this review will wake her up a little and have her understand that she is not irreplaceable.
