The owner and stylist, Maria was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She was attentive and very patient with my elderly mother who was anxious, but Maria got the cut and color exactly right! She also was great with my teenage daughter. Maria gave her hair a wonderful new cut and style. I was also thrilled with the way she cut and styled my hair. The salon was very clean and we felt safe. I visited Hilites hair salon for the first time today with my mother and daughter. The owner and stylist, Maria was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. She was attentive and very patient with my elderly mother who was anxious, but Maria got the cut and color exactly right! She also was great with my teenage daughter. Maria gave her hair a wonderful new cut and style. I was also thrilled with the way she cut and styled my hair. The salon was very clean and we felt safe. We will definitely be back!

Maria is great; she is so kind and patient, and helped me figure out what length and style I should choose to look good with my hair type and face shape. I got the worst bleach job of my life at another salon and was so concerned my hair was unfixable. I went to Maria all through high school and she always did an amazing job on my hair. This review is a little late in coming, but Maria SAVED my hair. I got the worst bleach job of my life at another salon and was so concerned my hair was unfixable. I went to Maria all through high school and she always did an amazing job on my hair. Upon visiting MD from TX over the holidays, I went to Maria to fix my horrible bleach job. It was so nice to catchup and she not only fixed my hair, but made me feel beautiful. I will for sure be getting my hair done with Maria whenever I am home to visit!! 🙂

I did an all over hair color and crown highlights with a glaze and hair mask. Everyone at the salon was professional and clean and wore masks. Maria cut and colored my hair and she was just lovely. Theresa and Maria really made me feel welcomed and were not judgmental on the hot mess state of my hair. I got the keratin treatment and a trim from Theresa and she did an amazing job. I have dense thick and long hair and most people cut corners and don’t do a thorough job but Theresa took her time and made sure to get the keratin cream on all of my hair. She also blow dried and flat ironed my hair which takes forever but she made sure every strand was perfect flat and in place. She is very knowledgeable gave me great tips on products to use for my specific hair type. I highly recommend this salon. I live in Baltimore city but made the drive bc of her reviews and I will be going back for sure! Finally someone who knows how to manage my hair type! Thank you Theresa!! ♀️

Thank you Maria for fixing my hair!! 5 stars for sure!!! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️After years of dying, bleaching, and straightening my hair it was pretty ruined but Maria completely restored it. Now it feels and looks amazing! She is a total sweetheart and really took her time making sure everything was done correctly. She uses amazing products and is a very talented colorist- I could immediately tell how passionate she is for what she does. I’ve already told my friends and family about Hilites and I’ll definitely be back !

Unlike the previous review on this page, my first experience at HiLites Hair Salon in Fulton, MD was amazing. They offer you wine, tea, coffee, soda or water free of charge! Excellent customer service as well as one of the best hair cuts I have had done in a while. The salon prices are all listed right up front and I would believe that if you were getting a cut and money was an issue, that you would ask how much the cut would be before you went ahead and got it cut. I think overall, it was well worth the price. I got an amazing shampoo and when they condition your hair they give you a great head massage. I got my hair colored and highlighted…they used Goldwell conditioning color which is a high end professional salon color. The color was very rich and vibrant looking! I came in with a picture from a magazine of the kind of cut i wanted done and she duplicated it. I left the salon with a very stylish hair cut and amazing color that people complement me on all the time. The visit was relaxing and very comfortable. I am definitely coming back and would recommend this salon to everyone. The stylist, Maria, did an excellent job and seems to be a very experienced stylist.
