Critical: Cleanliness, ProfessionalismI came in as a walk in to get a gel manicure. I had previously come in for a gel manicure and had a decent experience, so I expected a similar visit. Immediately they began drilling off my previous gel polish and over drilled so far that my nail is paper thin in spots. I was cut on my left pointer finger, which I know can happen, as that I have little nails. However, during the cuticle clean up, the tech picked right at the spot she cut and proceeded to rip more skin off which then had to be repeatedly sprayed with rubbing alcohol. Her solution to make the spot stop bleeding was to put my picked off skin onto the cut. The gel polish was quickly put on, and while she attempted to clean up the polish on my skin, she was unsuccessful. Because my nails were so over drilled, it caused my nails to be very sensitive and made it very uncomfortable to have my nails under the UV light. One spot in particular was on my left ring finger where it felt like I had been burned. Aside from all this, my nail shape is not consistent or straight at all, my nail beds are now lumpy, and none of the tools used on me got put into any kind of solution to be cleaned. I had to go home and straighten multiple nails and pick out polish from my skin and cuticles. The amount of damage done to my nail beds is extensive enough that I will have to completely regrow my nails out to have a normal nail again. This visit was unsanitary, unprofessional, and sloppy. It wasn’t even busy in the store (a good 4-5 employees were playing cards a few tables away), so them being rushed wasn’t an issue. My only guess for why would be that they wanted to get me out as fast as possible once things started going wrong (the cut and over drilling).
