Love this local gem. Great place for getting your eyebrows thread. Always get compliment how good they’re done. Ladies are so lovely and friendly, makes you feel so comfortable and never push you for any unnecessary services. Also, got facial done and loved it. Only thing I think missing was a blanket but won’t take a star away for that. I understand if they’re taking precautions because of Covid.

I’ve been going to Hemas for 2 years now and always had a great experience with eyebrow threading. However one of the ladies there always forces everyine to try their facial waxing upon specifically being asked to do threading. Their wax gave me horrible rash on my face that I had to get treated. I continued to go while staying firm that threading is what I’ll get. I usually get a herbal facial, and today they attempted to charge me double the price of the facial. ( literally 150 for a 75$ facial) which was absolutely ridiculous. Mind you this is not a spa, they use paper towels and there is no silence at all. They have loud religious music playing, one of the women was singing outside the facial room loudly, and the women talk loudly amongst themselves while the facial is going on. This is not a 150$ facial experience by any means. Even 75 is steep for what they offer but since it’s downtown Ridgewood I get that it’s priced at 75. Upon arguing, they agreed to let me pay 75 with the attitude that they had to compromise to shut me up. Needless to say they have lost a customer due to their lack of integrity. Never going back.
