Helen has cut my hair for 7 or 8 years now since we moved to Maryland. It was difficult finding a good barber till I found Helen. She will not dissapoint and always aims to please. She is very gifted and talented and knows her craft. In fact, it is time for another haircut.

Helen and staff are wonderful I don’t understand “Mama Bear”s review. It’s a salon YOU the customer are supposed to communicate how you want to your hair cut. If it’s too long I usually say can you please go a little shorter. They cannot guess what YOU want! It’s rude to leave such an uneducated review for a small business trying to keep up after Covid.

Helen’s is a great barbershop. Clean, conscientious, and skilled barbers. I’ve had haircuts from 3 of the barbers, but Andy is my go to. All are friendly. I tried them because they were closer than my last barber, who I really liked. But after one cut, I never left Helen’s. I’ve been using them for about a year now and don’t write reviews until I’m sure about a place. I’m sure.

Nice little barber shop. I have an easy haircut (4 on top, 2 on the sides and back), so my cut turned out pretty good. I did have to wait a bit because I didn’t have an appointment. Wait wasn’t too bad, but as others have commented, she did stop cutting to answer the phones. Also annoying was not taking a credit card. Luckily, I just happened to have cash on hand that day. I probably won’t go back as I usually don’t have cash and scheduling an appointment is tricky with my schedule. If they would charge a couple bucks extra to use a credit card, I might come back.
