Did the mommy to be spa package, with a massage, facial and pedicure. What a relaxing experience! Highly recommend any of their packages. If you do the parking, bring cash. They validate for 3 hours, but if you go past that it can get expensive.

We really wanted to love this spa but it missed the mark. This was our first time in Hawaii and my daughter’s first massage. I wish it would’ve been better. I tipped because it’s common courtesy to do so, but I will tell you that we didn’t feel any welcoming or warm feelings from our therapist. My massage felt rushed and like she was simply ready to go home. It was a major let down because we’d been looking forward to this since we booked. We will remember it but for all the wrong reasons. I wish we would’ve been able to have a more inviting experience.

Overall a very mundane experience. I don’t think I would recommend to anyone. I understand that day spas have lower prices than resort spas because you’re paying for the ambiance at the latter. Still, there wasn’t even a semblance of trying to fake it at Alakea. Paid for two massages—one was solid, the other ended up just causing neck pain after a therapist continued to focus on an area after asking if it was okay and hearing “no it kind of hurts.” All of that being said, it’s much less expensive than some of the other options on Oahu, so if you really want a decent massage but don’t feel like paying for absolutely the bare minimum of service, it’s a candidate for you.

Had the best experience at Heaven on Earth off Alakea! There was a little technical issue with our reservation, they weren’t able to find us in the system. But Deb and team made it right, they were able to fit us in and treated my friend and I like royalty, such a nice and awesome staff! There was a miscommunication on my part regarding what I wanted done to my hair and she was very accommodating even though it was a big shift and was going to take longer. I ended up staying about 50 minutes after their salon closed and I didn’t even know because the environment was so great. I never felt rushed or pushed out of the door. She even went as far as to ask how I wanted my hair styled after they were officially closed. I told her I just wanted something “pretty” and she did just that in a 10 minutes time. Arlene is amazing. There was a miscommunication on my part regarding what I wanted done to my hair and she was very accommodating even though it was a big shift and was going to take longer. I ended up staying about 50 minutes after their salon closed and I didn’t even know because the environment was so great. I never felt rushed or pushed out of the door. Reasonably priced services. Tried a Lomi Lomi massage for the first time and was not disappointed. It’s not for the faint of heart. Malu was my masseuse and I would highly recommend him for this service.
