I’ve never loved my hair more than since I started seeing Sally at Heart & Mane. Went through a bunch of stylists in NYC before moving to Portland and none compare to the amazing work she does. Color is so gorgeous and natural and she always knows exactly what I’m looking for in a cut. Also the space is so beautiful it’s an oasis! She is kind and always so thoughtful. She has brought all my hair dreams come to life from red hair to my current highlights that I just got yesterday, the cut and color always turns out exactly how I want. I have been going to Sally for almost a decade now (mind blowing), I followed her to any salons she has gone to and I was thrilled when she opened up her very own spot. She is kind and always so thoughtful. She has brought all my hair dreams come to life from red hair to my current highlights that I just got yesterday, the cut and color always turns out exactly how I want. Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityLisa was recommended to me for bridal makeup by my venue, and she was the perfect addition to my bridal squad! I don’t usually wear a lot of makeup, and I wanted to keep the wedding look natural but a little bit glam. I did a trial with Lisa in Portland, and she was so kind and had great suggestions. I loved the trial makeup and felt confident that Lisa would do a great job on the day. On the wedding day, Lisa arrived before I did and was set up and ready to go right on time. She did a fabulous job doing both hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and went above and beyond with my makeup. The first time I went with a short bob and got my first ever Balayage highlights. The second time, I got a “shaggier” haircut and BANGS. These were big hair changes for me but both came out amazing thanks to Sally’s expertise in all things hair!Especially as someone who has fine, curly hair, I struggled for years to find someone who really took the time and care to understand my hair and cut it right. Well to my fellow curly girls, Sally knows her stuff! Right before the pandemic I reached out to Sally wanting to try some Davines curl products – Sally recommended the Curl Cleansing Cream, Texturizing Serum, and Curl Cream. My curls have never looked better and I’m going to continue to order these from Heart & Mane even though I’m further away.Aside from loving my time with Sally and all her recs, the salon is so clean, welcoming, and relaxing. I can’t give Heart & Mane enough stars! I have gotten my hair done twice by Sally – both times having traveled from Boston to do so. The first time I went with a short bob and got my first ever Balayage highlights. The second time, I got a “shaggier” haircut and BANGS.
