I have never been treated so terrible by an employee in my life. The moment I walked in they both made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. They were not interested at all in making me feel valued as a customer not did they care if I left satisfied. They were rude to both me and my two children. I will not be going back. Ashley is nice and I have used her in the past, but she was already cutting someone’s hair so I got the other people working and they were so rude.

I went into Head Start expecting a typical trim from an all right stylist. I can tell you this much…..I came out of that salon feeling like the woman in the Herbal Essence commercials. The stylist that performed her magic was Elizabeth, and I have to say that my hair has not felt this wonderful since my Aunt Stephanie styled it years ago. I will absolutely go back!!!!

However, this evening, my business was turned away when I walked in, because they were choosing not to run debit cards to take cash only in order to build a cash flow for change. Their cash drawer was low, so they were choosing not to run my card. I didn’t have any cash.

My daughter went to Head Start @ The Shops of Lake Tuscaloosa to get her hair dyed today, she has dark brown hair and requested ice blue hair. Her hair was not bleached correctly- her ends remained dark brown after it was bleached and the stylist Ajay applied the dye over her blonde Roots, orange hair and brown ends. AJay did not fix her hair tonight so she could leave on time, instead she told my daughter she would have to come back tomorrow for her to fix it. Her hair is a complete mess and she started crying as soon as she got in the car and got a look at it. I would never step foot back into this place. They need to hire experienced stylists. If the woman didn’t feel confident coloring my daughter’s hair then she should have told her so.

Went in to get a quick hair cut and the only 2 employees working on a Saturday midday were coloring each other’s hair! Told me that it would “be awhile” before they could get to me! One had foil in her hair and the one in the chair was just getting the color applied, so it was obvious to me that it was going to be QUITE awhile! Just lost a PAYING customer today! Wonder if the owner knows they are doing this?!

Go see Elizabeth…This girl can wash hair like she has the hands of a Greek goddess. She trimmed my beard and shaped it so well that when I came home, my wife thought I was David Beckham’s sexier twin…and I’m fat…But on a more serious note, I was in and out in under 10 minutes and felt like I was talking to a friend. Most stylists make fun of my cow licks…She didn’t even mention them, just asked how my day was and made me feel comfortable, and look amazing. Thank you!

I was very disappointed today when I showed up at 5:45 to let my son get a haircut and the girls said sorry we are closed. Clearly it says they close at 6:00 pm. Do not post times of closing if you don’t intend to stay open until that time or if you have to be off by 6:00 post that the last cut will be done by a certain time.
