Critical: ProfessionalismI have never been treated so rudely and felt so awkward while paying someone to color my hair. I was the only one in the salon (so it wasn’t because it was busy) and the stylist was very rude. I’d literally gone out of my way to go a few days before the appointment for a consult and picked a hair swatch. I just wanted to go a few shades lighter and get it cut and styled. But when I went for the appointment the stylist seemed very irritated and said “You told me you want it lighter, but lighter isn’t a color” I reminded her of the swatch I’d picked out and she stormed off. Then never spoke to me again. I mean NEVER. No eye contact, no small talk, nothing. It was incredibly awkward. Then she just bleached it all of it (leaving orange roots and still very dark ends), blew it dry with a regular brush, and told the other stylist that it was an exercise in patience because she hates blow drying. AND THEN SHE WAS DONE. I was waiting for toner or color to be put on my roots. And for the cut I’d discussed at the consult. But at that point I was dying to leave, I was scared to say anything to her because she was so rude. So I paid over 100.00 and had to go to Great Clips for a hair cut and then to Sally Beauty Supply to finish it myself.
