Head East Salon has great hair stylist, great atmosphere with lovely bangles and baubles, limited sundresses and sun hats for sale. Ms Joanie is wonderful and does a marvelous job of making me feel welcome and satisfied with my haircut style. Highly recommend all the hairstylist who do great work.

Critical: ProfessionalismI called to get a quote for my bridal hair and the second they answered they were kinda rude. I asked about pricing and if there was pictures of styles they have done (because I’m not sure how I want my hair done) and I want to confirm they know how to do a variety of styles, and she told me she can’t give me any information and that I can’t email pictures I have to come in wedding day and see if they can do it then they will let me know how much this will cost.I’m not willing to risk it, especially since I’m coming in from out of state. One of just a couple salons that’s withstood the test of time over the decade (or two?) in Alpine. My first visits were as a teenager, and 10+ years on I can still recommend it. It’s a unique, decorated property with independent stylists that seem to cater to a wide range of customer needs. As for my latest experience after some time out of Alpine, I’m VERY happy with a men’s cut done by Pat. Bottom line, worth a visit to at least get a feel for what they can for you, especially if you’re tired of rushed barbershop experiences with perpetually varying results.

I didn’t have a hairdresser after 20+ years of having the same guy. So I had a less than adequate hair cut and color by someone who had many years of experience even though it didn’t seem like it once I got In her chair!!! She was rude also. However I spoke with Joanie the owner….i was pleasantly surprised by her kindness and willingness to bring my hair back to life!!! She’s the best!!! I look forward to getting my hair done again by her also I was very impressed with her beautiful daughter as I saw the quality of her work also. I look forward to exploring the rest of the spa. Thanks for making me feel better about my hair Joanie, yoh are beautiful inside and out!!!

My hair looks silly. Its shorter than expected, uneven and has blunt layers that are not blended and looks like like I have a bi-layer. Almost like someone came behind me and cut out a chunk of my hair. I asked for highlights and there are streaks and an area where there is a blob of highlighting. I’m very disappointed. It was expensive and I look silly. Haircut and highlights suck but the people were nice.
