My husband and boys have had Evan cut their hair numerous times and he does a great job. The woman there on the other hand does a horrible job! I have told my husband to leave if Evan is not there. Today, he was waiting for Evan to finish and the woman walked in saying she could take him.

Great place to get a cut, and a clean shave if desired. Evan is an amazing owner and barber. Super friendly and listens to what/how you want you Jaír done. Elizabeth as well, she has cut my hair before and has down an amazing job!!Having thick corse hair (I’m native/Hawaiian/black) in this small town not a lot of barbers know what to do with my hair but Evan and Elizabeth both do such an amazing job. The young lady that cuts hair here did an amazing job on my daughter’s hair after a botched dye job. She was so patient and took time to listen to my daughter even with a packed place waiting for haircuts. She cut her hair in exactly the way my daughter wanted (super short with shaved sides and a little longer on top). She comforted her by telling her she has a sister that did the same thing, how to style the growth patterns in her hair to lay down better , and what she could use to style and to help the damage. This girl went above and beyond and my daughter went from tears to laughing and smiling(not an easy feat). Her hair turned out so amazing, I am tempted to have her do it mine too. I would recommend the girl here to anyone and my daughter has told her friends as well. Prices are super reasonable and the barbershop is clean and friendly. We will be back~MLB

I’m new to the area and this establishment was highly recommended for a haircut. I came in today and was told that Evan was on vacation, so I patiently waited 30 minutes for Elizabeth. She “kind of”listened to what I wanted done but did her own thing with my neck line saying her way was, “more feminine”, mind you I get my hair cut monthly, the same way. That wasn’t the worst of it! She took no length off of my bangs, instead took the clippers and shaved my cowlick off, down to my scalp, in the front of my head. It’s not fixable, I’m not able to hide it and I didn’t pay for it. I have a very important leadership conference this month and I’m going to look like a fool. This is by far the worst haircut I’ve ever received and I never thought I’d cry over a bad haircut, but I did. No apology or even an attempt to fix the horrible intention. I will definitely not be back nor will I recommend this barbershop to anyone who asks.

I have gotten my hair cut by evan in the past and it was amazing he did everything quick and perfectly, today i got my hair cut by Elizabeth and it was terrible. She shave my cowlick of and did absolutely no blending. After the haircut she blew all my cut hair onto my lap. I would love to come back just as long as Elizabeth does not cut my hair

Evan has an eye for detail, it’s easy to see. You can tell that he has pride in his work. I’ve had haircuts from a variety of barber shops and I can honestly say that the crew at Hayward Barber Shop is competent in what they do, and the prices are also very reasonable (saying that as someone who used to live in a metropolitan area). I’d send anyone who asks about a haircut here. Worth every dollar.

OMG!!! The girl who gave my husband a haircut today must have never gone to cosmetology school. His head is all different lengths, with almost bald spots in places. It looks like a lawn would look when the deck on a riding lawnmower is uneven: burned on one row, long on the other. His hair is uneven above his ears; two different lengths. He has already tried to even it out, but I will be finishing it up tomorrow. Good God!!!! DON’T GO HERE!!!
