Critical: ProfessionalismThe woman who helped me asked me what I want today. I told her I am growing out the top and I need to get the sides trimmed.She completely chopped off the top of my hair. It was around 5-6 inches, now it is around 2. She also completely shaved off my sideburns, I have no clue why she didn’t ask me before she decided to get rid of them.She also didn’t utter a word to me. I asked her how her day was and she said good. I’m usually cool with not talking to my barber but she actually stopped the haircut to talk to one of the regulars. I expected to be asked questions – How long do you want the top again? – Where do you want your sideburns?She started thinning the top without asking me. My hair is already thin – why would you thin it even more? now (what’s left of) my bangs are patchy and stringy.Honestly the worst haircut I have ever gotten. Praying my sideburns grow back quickly and will be waiting another three months to get my hair where it was at so I can keep growing it.I don’t want to personally attack anyone at the business and I am sure they are nice people in their day to day lives but this haircut was unprofessional and I don’t even want anyone to see me with these goofy sideburns. I am definitely annoyed I paid 35 dollars for this haircut. I should have just gone to great clips, I can’t believe that great clips is safer than hawkeye barber.3ish months of hairgrowth gone. Definitely not coming back to Hawkeye Barber, which is where I have been getting irregular haircuts for the past 3ish years. I hope your team can take some of this as constructive criticism because I am pretty unhappy with the end result. Please, next time you cut someone’s hair, listen to what they have to say. Critical: ProfessionalismInconsistent results – I have had my hair cut there multiple times over 4 years – it was usually a good haircut – but maybe not what I wanted. The last time I went in I got 4 inches more taken off than what I asked for. It is the last time I went. Staff are polite and the shop is clean.
