The ladies who work here are awesome. It’s clean but the subscription set up is ultimately a SCAM. i moved out of state in MARCH of 2022. Here it is JAN 2023 and I am still being charged 40.99$ a MONTH for a tanning salon in NY while I live in TEXAS. i have called, they say mail a letter I mail a letter and I’m still being charged. Anywhere you subscribe you call or log in online to cancel. They say you have to write a letter so there is no way to tell if they have received it or not. It’s been months. -at this point I will have paid a year subscription to thin air. I am ready to file a claim in court because I am out of options and anytime I have called they just say write a letter. I’m over it. BECAREFUL with monthly subscriptions. Apparently they’re actually LIFETIME subscription. You’re welcome 😉

They conveniently charged my account for 27.50 out of the blue. I called and asked, and they said it was a ” one time annual fee”. I said I wanted to cancel my membership. They said I had to pay 2 more months and had to come in person. You think your paying 10 bucks a month? No. To top it all off, it said Madison NY hawaiin holiday, so I called to shut my card off because I thought it had been compromised. Thanks.

Use tanning beds for 3rd time. I use the high beds they are great. Staff did tour explained the beds. They are thorough about their products and info. I will continue to tan here when in the area.

Okay so… I am very unsatisfied with HAWIIAN Holiday! I feel taken advantage of and that I’m not respected as a valued customer for the 6 years I have been tanning there…. I missed a payment some how in March (my fault I’m not denying) but I paid April’s balance. Now I haven’t gone tanning in months but I kept my membership, I went the other day to start again and that’s when I was notified about Marchs balance. I didn’t have my card on me and they wouldn’t allow me to go tanning unless I pay Marchs balance (which I get). With intentions of paying that balance and cancelling my membership today I was told yesterday that they won’t even let me cancel my membership untill I pay the balance. So let’s just say if I didn’t have the money to pay the balance they would just kept racking up the charges each month? And they make you jump through hoops in to cancell the membership. Why do I have to drive all the way to Whiteboro to cancelled my membership or mail a notice to a PO box but they wouldn’t give me that info either until it’s paid. However, They’re more than happy to process a new membership right there at any location! And I have been a top member for 6 years now and have never missed a payment. Also my charm fell off of my necklace that my grandfather bought me for college grad and went under the tanning bed and I was told they weren’t going to move the bed because it’s just not “worth it”, I even offered to pay for the inconvenience but they still refused to help me out. So now I’ve had a bad experience at Herkimer and Utica. I loved going there, the ladies are always very nice and informative, the beds were always clean and the ladies always walked me to the booth and closed the door for me. So idk if it’s the management who ha e poor customer service skills or what’s happening but have a lot of close friends and family who go there and aren’t very pleased at this point either. I have never once complained or given them a hard time about anything, and I’ve been in there when there’s some pretty difficult clients being jerks, well now I kinda understand why. I’m hoping to find a place where I’m valued as a customer. I will pay my balance tomorrow with cash and I already cancelled my card so I do not keep getting charged like many others have been and I refuse to to go out of my way to drive or mail a request for cancellation when it can be done with just a few clicks of a mouse, I’m going to tell the clerk at the front desk that I am cancelling my membership and as far as I’m concerned that is giving them proper notice! It takes a lot to get me going but this is completely asinine. And it looks like a lot of other clients I’ve spoken too have had similar unpleasant experiences as well. And no I am not going to call the customer service line to have a manage “assist me”.
