I have gone to the same nail tech for 18 years. I just moved to the island and got brave to try a new place. It was a horrible experience. I don’t know how long it will take one of my nail beds to recover. My previous powder was long gone and he was still going after my nail. It is still sore a week later and the overlay cracked after 2 days. Plus the powder was applied away fom my cuticle and it looks like 2 weeks of growth after one week. Beware!

I got a pedicure by Nina today, and I was extremely disappointed. When she was cutting my cuticles she was being extremely careless and harsh and it hurt extremely bad. I told her multiple times it hurts, as well as my mom, my moms friends and one of the workers even told her to stop cutting my cuticles and to just start filing them and she laughed at them and continued cutting my cuticles. Everytime I said ow she would also laugh. I left in pain and never wanting to go back.

Update: I still love it here….however, I feel like the lady who was tending to my pedicure was tired seeing how I saw her yawning and closing her eyes while massaging my feet and legs..I also said i did not want shellac o. My toes just a regular whit polish but they put shellac anyways and charged me…I feel for the price I paid I deserved better attention and they rushed the lady away from finishing my mom’s pedicure just because their were two other people paying for an expensive pedicure as well. I feel she should of finished the pedicure she started. Maybe from now on we will just get the regular fast one since they seem over worked.

I absolutely love Havana Nails. It’s my favorite nail salon in the Corpus Christi area. They always treat me very well and always do my nails, toes, and eyebrow waxing very nice. I been to this spot twice. The first time was okay. I had a pedicure and fill for my nails. The lady doing my pedicure did clip/cut my cuticle on my big toe. Have never had that happen before but what got me is, she acted like she didn’t know what she did. C’mon now…me snatching my foot away could have been a clue…The second time I went. I had the same service done. Cuticle wasn’t snipped this time. What I didn’t like, is while you’re getting your pedicure done they want to roll up and do your nails at the same time. That might be okay for some but when I get a pedi done, that’s my time to relax, get a power nap in and enjoy every moment. So I’m not a big fan of that. I aint in know rush so I tell them no…you can do my nails when my pedi is done…Other than those two things it’s a decent spot. I recently moved to Texas. Where I moved from I was going to my nail tech for 6 yrs…so my grading scale is a bit high…hope this helps
