I went to Harrington and Company to simply have my hair colored and Lucy the girl who did my hair talked me into doing extensions. I told her I was afraid of getting them because I have heard they ruin your hair but she assured me they don’t. I agreed to do it because I was going on a trip. She quoted me a price of $300 because I wanted them done for length. I scheduled to have them done in a week. She text me bugging me saying she needed a $150 downpayment to make sure the extensions were at the salon on time. I got the downpayment to her immediately. I took her $150 in cash. On the day of my appointment that I took off work for I get there and she says I have bad news your extensions didn’t come in. I said really then why did I put a $150 downpayment towards them? She then says well they will probably be in later today. I said ok when she said 3:30 so I left and showed back up at 3:30 and they weren’t there. I know that there are tracking numbers on things that are shipped she was just being lazy because she overbooked her schedule. Well that same day she has me come in around 4:30 because the extensions magically arrive. She puts them in and as she is putting them in I stop her say now how much more will I owe you? She says $500. Well she is so unorganized she couldn’t remember the price she quoted me originally because I wanted them done for length not a full head of extensions. As she is doing them she is telling me how to take care of them and telling me they don’t fall out and you can keep them in for four months. I was very patient and I followed her hair care instructions. Three days later three of the extensions fall out. And now I have 7 total of them out. I kept them and text her asking if she will put them back in? The first time I asked her to put them back in she said no we will when you get more done and my schedule is full and if I do I will have to charge you. I thought that was absolutely unfair since I already paid $350 but I let it go, however I did call the salon owner to get her advice on the situation and she said it is normal for 3 to 5 to come out. So I forgot about it. Well now I have 7 out so I text Lucy telling her I wanted them put back in and I will pay for them and I told her what days I was available. She text me back and said she was not going to do my hair because I bugged her on the day that I was supposed to have my appointment. Well I’m my eyes because I work with the public that is terrible to say to a client. She also said she did not want me to be her client because I called her boss and told on her and that shows a lot about my character. I called the salon owner for advice about the extensions and Robin Harrington confirmed that 3 to 5 extensions at the most could come out not 7. Lucy gives Harrington and Company a bad name and she absolutely has no idea what making customers happy entails. Now my hair looks terrible. This career will not last long for Lucy if she can’t fix what she messes up. That is what customer service and customer retention is all about. Lucy is poor at her job. However I found out from one of her other clients she is leaving Harrington and Company to do something else so now I know she is just lazy and does not back up her work
