First time I’ve been back since the new ownership. I have come here a couple times and also brought family in the past, it has been great. I asked for a regular pedicure and gel manicure. Started off great with the pedicure, the woman was great and no complaints at all… until a man came up to me in the chair during it and started pressuring me into getting dip nails instead of gel. It lasted about 10 minutes of him inches from my face and I was totally uncomfortable. He even offered to do dip at no extra cost. I never agreed to doing dip, just uncomfortably smiled while he tried to talk me into it. It was relentless. After I finished the pedicure they pointed me to the manicure table where he had all the dip laid out. I mentioned again that I wanted gel and he insisted on dip. He immediately started dipping my nails in the powder. No filing, no soaking, no cutting, no cuticle work, I’m talking nothing. I asked twice about when he was going to do the traditional soaking of cuticles, cutting the nails, etc. he shouted at me “I KNOW!!!!!! YOU WORRY TOO MUCH!” And 2 other people present in the salon came over and said he does things differently, that he will go back and do all that stuff (I questioned how that would be possible after already applying the dip). They both watched over the entire time. Only after the dip (that I didn’t want) was applied did he start filing my nails down after I asked that my nails be trimmed down some. He was stressed and filed so hard and fast that it burned my finger tip skin down to the point where it was so unbearable. I was dying to get out of this place. Every nail was a different shape, had an excess of uneven and thick layer of dip nail bed. The color was completely see-through and off that he had to file down again, apply coats of gel paint and gel top coat and use the UV light. I mean when I tell you this was a bizarre experience, I mean it. I have about 50 layers of nail to prove it. I don’t treat myself often, and I was completely caught off guard by this experience. He never massaged, trimmed cuticles, filed or soaked the nails as he promised. After this disaster he walked me to the register to pay asking me “I did such a good job didn’t I? You’re so happy right?”. They did in fact charge the full price for the dip manicure and pedicure. Almost $100 later I left completely uncomfortable and unhappy. I will never return to this place. Stay away.

My experience at Happy Nails was awful. The lady filed my nails and then moved to someone else and left me waiting for over 25 minutes. When filing and buffing my nails, I was cut on almost every finger and the nail technician left nail polish on my skin. I would not recommend this place.
